In order to cast a vote for anyone for President, I'd have to be willing to say "yes" to that question. Everyone who runs for this office outright lies, dodges the truth, or spins it to varying degrees to "attain power" (get elected). Trump is no different. He's always, at a minimum, exaggerated the truth to make a point or score political wins.

The question I have to ask myself is this: do I trust that the person I'm potentially going to vote for is going to move America in a better (based on what I value) direction than his political opponents?

I know what I have with Trump. Outside of COVID, I thought he did a great job of handling the economy and supported the things I cared about most. I don't appreciate several of the things he did, such as his support for the LGBTQ+, but unless a devout orthodox Protestant runs for office who uses a biblical worldview for how he interprets reality and lives that worldview consistently, I'm stuck with the options that are there.

DeSantis is Trump's only real competition. Trump won't have an opportunity to battle Biden (if he runs again) if DeSantis wins the primary. I said I don't agree with lying by any candidate, but I understand why Trump is doing what he's doing. Attacks will be expected eventually during primary season, so Trump is just getting a head start on things.

I agree and don't like him lying about DeSantis. It makes me cringe to see it. I'd rather him stick to his record as President (prior to COVID, at least).

How is arguing that Trump shouldn't have handed the keys to the country over to Fauci/Trump's CDC "bullshite"?
