I’m sure Mexico will be perfectly fine with that.

We literally flew ST6 into Abbottabad, Pakistan to assassinate Osama Bin Laden less than a mile from their premier military training base without permission or advanced notice.

Mexico will respond in the same way- :no response:.

What are they going to do, sanction us for killing the kingpins that are extorting and murdering them?

No. But they’ll make the job harder and subvert everything we are trying to do. The cartels and the government are intertwined. Plus, they control the spigot on migrants from Central America.

And again—we’ve tried this before. We’ve tried actual invasion before too. It didn’t work, and it wouldn’t work this time to solve the problem for the same reasons it didn’t work any of those other times. The base dynamics haven’t changed.

Dragging northern Mexico into the 21st century from an economic and infrastructure perspective is the only thing that will work. And if we don’t do it, China is going to start.

Plus, I don’t know how anyone who’s read about the history of US relations with Mexico thinks playing whack-a-mole down there is productive. It has never worked. And we have tried it before—several times.

Actually we got quite a few states out of it

F that. Annex Canada the entire Caribbean and 1/2 of Mexico.

We took the land—Mexico wasn’t governing it anyway.

But we absolutely failed at solving the problem of the border and general lawlessness relating to the border.

And I want no part of the northern Mexican states this time. They’re total shitholes.

I hope he does do this.

It would be the first legitimate use of our military in my lifetime.

No but it does is create unstable cartels that go to war with each other and weakens overall drug trafficking which could allow the country leaders that are serious about their country to reassert control

They would most likely lay low and bide their time.

I would say that about El Chapo's Sinaloa crew. They're drug runners that dabble in violence when necessary. El Mencho's Jalisco New Generation Cartel is a violence syndicate that dabbles in drug trafficking.

The way they do little to curb immigration and cartels makes it seem like they are already an enemy. An enemy controlled by cartels.

Wrong. When have we tried this? Using special forces to surgically strike cartel leadership????

Lol.... We haven't!!!!

They probably will be. Their politicians are terrorized by the cartels.
