Reign is right.
We have enough rulers already.

I'm starting to think it's intentional.

I remember when they told us we needed the Patriot Act……… I miss term 1 Trump. Trump 2 is compromised.

On the surface, feels like a threat.

I’m team Data Center. Unfortunately, now that Trump has boldly expressed his opinion, support is now capped at 50%. Big Tech has done a TERRIBLE job of explaining how and why data centers operate and their necessity moving forward.
Data centers are forever lumped in with microplastics, aluminum cookware, GMO foods, climate change, blah, blah.
What we have to realize is this is a religion to the Leftist. Is it possible to talk a Catholic into Protestantism or vice versa, yes, but rarely. Bold actions are required and unfortunately, Congress is gutless.

Working on one right now. When this one is over, build another.

The lost tax revenue from white collar AI replacement will likely come from data centers. The small towns that embrace the tech will come out on top.

Honest question, but how?

They lost me when I learned Entergy is passing on cost that should be paid by the billionaire owner of data center in Richland Parrish. Why should I help pay for electricity usage of a data center 100 miles away?
Water use concerns me but I will listen to pros & cons fairly & logically…but I am not listening to jack while being forced to foot the bill. I don’t care if it is 2 cents a month…it’s the principle of it…

He reads this board. Remember the other night when I created a thread entitled, "The Chinese are Very Hopeful You Are Anti-Data Center"?

That’s all you’ve got, huh?
You buy all of China’s propaganda or just the Data Center nonsense? What if I told you that they were all “gluten free” or “cage free”?

Actually I’m not opposed to all data centers. I was an early investor in CoreWeave and others truth be told.
I’m against the rapid deployment of data centers before we fully understand the scope of their impact. Both positively and negatively.

So will the fricked up water supply, escalating energy costs and brownouts.

They're not going to let the Chinese win the AI race. And it's really just as simple as that. Bitching about it won't do any good. The military application of AI is a bigger deal than the development of the nuclear bomb.

My favorite part of all of this is that the detractors use social media (DATA!!) to complain about data centers. Don’t tell anyone else, but…we already have thousands of data centers!
United States: Hosts the largest share, with estimates ranging between 4,700 and 5,400 facilities (accounting for roughly 40% to 45% of the global total).

A lot of Americans prefer Chinese propaganda to what their leader says
Someone tell him
