Can you point out the crime in your op? All I see is an account of bookkeeping.

It’s a crime to knowingly misclassified personal expenses as business expenses thereby defrauding the taxing authorities. No doubt about that. Eddie Knight of Knight Oil Tools was convicted in federal court in Lafayette of federal felony tax evasion for misclassifying gambling losses as business expenses. But these kinds of prosecutions are extremely rare. Typically the taxpayer has the opportunity to file an amended return and pay the tax, penalty and interest, and that’s the end of it.

Ok. Let’s say he paid her to shut up. What are the chances that slick Willy will be on that jury? Or everyone that used the congressional slush fund for sexual harassment?

Some people are just blinded by their hatred of one man.

If they try and get him on the espionage act (Classified Docs) when Biden assuredly stole classified docs (before having Presidential power to Declass) then left them where the CCP had access, I think it’s safe to say the CCP controls the deepest elements of our federal government.

That is a HUGE deal. Listen close to what Trump said last night. He can’t come out and call the President a Chinese compromised agent. (What were they doing in Chinatown?)

That special prosecutor is the real problem.

Extortion is a legitimate business expense according to the IRS. I am curious how the DA would have coded these transactions. If they are not legal expenditures then how should the payments been coded on Trump's financials? My guess blackmail is theft.
For fraud it has to be material by law. There's zero materiality here. Look at the Supreme Court ruling in 2020 known as Bridge Gate.
DT whas Prez in 2017 and was not part legally associated with the Trump Organization.

I’m reminded of the use of tax evasion to prosecute gangsters. I guess if the gangsters and drug dealers just paid a proper income tax on their ill gotten gains, they may still be in business.

However, for reasons unknown, after the second payment, Trump began making the payments from his own personal bank account with his signature on the check

You do understand that this is the very point that lets Trump off the hook, right?

At the time he was making those payments personally, he was no longer associated with Trump inc. Eric was the head. So he had to pay his own personal lawyer, or they would be correct in the indictment. The corporate payments in early 2017, would have been invoiced from 2016 when Trump was still in charge

I'm sure you're this worried about Congress using your tax dollars to cover-up when they get black-mailed.

I’m confused by your post whether this is a matter of claiming a personal expense as a business expense? Or is it that it was a campaign expense that he paid for personally? You say he may be in more trouble than people think, but don’t say what he is trouble for.

Maybe the point is just to confuse people?

The other guy said the deal. In 2017 Trump had removed himself from the business since he was POTUS. So, he had to pay his own lawyer from his personal account and thus had to sign the checks. It’s gonna be glorious to see a convicted liar in Cohen on the stand saying “but this time I’m telling the truth” not all the other times he swore he was telling the truth. Bragg may have appeased the 90% Dem island of Manhattan but he over stretched. Wait until some red state ADA indicts Pelosi, Biden, and others because his constituents want him to. The door is now open.

Ha! We are all in trouble; Trump is just the 'canary in the coal mine'. War over Religion, Ideology (Morality/Social Justice) and Stuff is the historical norm. Humanity has not changed and is easily predictable. Trump could be like Rush Limbaugh tomorrow, and nothing would change what is coming.

You're correct. The great legal mind of Bragg surpasses all the others that turned it down. He will be in the Supreme Court one day and may have law libraries named after him.

Federal prosecutors already declined to prosecute Trump which is why they turned to this stooge; federal laws trump state laws when it comes to campaign finance so you are incorrect
