your reason for serving and mine are likely the same
Perhaps.

I was engaged at 19, married and in med school when turning 20.

I sought some way to off-load debt med school pressures in my early marriage. HPSP provided that. It was my reason for serving

Take our Tridents back from the UK also

We need to. Same with France.

Within a generation or 2, they will have far more in common demographically and politically with places like Iran and Palestine than they ever had with us.

Russia, China, Europe, India, and South Pacific stay within and divide Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.
US takes Western Hemisphere.

This seems seriously Islamophobic. Maybe it’s just me.

I see that only 30% get the joke.

Trump nailed it in the Oval Office on pulling out from European nations who didn't support America:

"Why SHOULDN'T I?"

"Italy hasn't been any help...Spain has been HORRIBLE."

"When we needed them, they WERE NOT THERE."

It goes beyond Germany too. Trump could pull out EVEN MORE

The problem is that if Russia became unable to defend its territory, China would beat Europe to the punch.

Nuclear arsenals level the playing field.
But you are correct about the EU intentions.
Russia does not need tanks to defeat Europe.
It only has to shut off the valves.
Trump told them this seven years ago.

The US stepping back from Germany removes the financial and military backstop at the exact moment Europe is strained by energy costs, debt load, and slowing growth...

The structure only works when one side carries the weight... that weight is being lifted, and the signal lands clean… no more automatic coverage, no more subsidized defense, and no more assumption of stability...

Now the system resolves... Europe does not have the fiscal space to replace that backbone at scale while absorbing external pressure from energy chokepoints and internal economic stress...

That creates a convergence point where defense, currency, and political stability compress at the same time... BQQM...

The outcome becomes binary… restructure and fund NATO from within or watch the evil empire degrade under its own cost structure

We aren’t the world’s police.

If we stop being the world's police, we'll soon have another world war that we will have to intervene in just like we had to do twice before when we said things like, "We aren't the world's police."

The track record of us not being the world's police sucks, frankly.

How many European soldiers are stationed here in the USA to help us?????

Can you count to 1? That's too high!

NATO will feel continued pressure from DJT, and I support it 100000%!

Trump says he is also considering pulling troops out of Spain and Italy, in addition to Germany, and rips NATO/Europe.

Did this decision come after a call from Putin?

The U.S. needs the European bases to project power in Europe and the Middle East.

We don’t have bases in Germany because we are defending Germany from harm. Those bases allow us to stage troops half way around the world to project global military power.

We need to get our key military weapons and secrets out before they are taken over. Over the decades there are so many shared secrets. And if the invaders take over and get them that's bad news.

These countries in Europe are at the end of the beginning but the beginning of the end isn’t far off.

Wrong, we have bases all over the world. Can go where we want and need to be.
