I've always liked Trump because he's the crazy old guy in the work break room talking shite about management. He's got a lot of vaild thoughts and is funny as hell but you wouldn't let that guy be the CEO of the company.

Somehow we let that guy become the CEO of the company.

Empty threats aren’t going to open Hormuz. Clock is ever ticking.

It’s pretty obvious at this point that Trump never had a plan beyond strikes and the Iranian people taking over the government.

Once that didn’t happen and the Straits were closed, we lost all momentum and leverage.

He’s now facing a ground war, which will result in many casualties and it’s likely we have nothing to show for it. Once that happens, we will be in another decades long war.

It cannot be overstated what an absolutely colossal mistake this was in starting a war with Iran.

There are really no good outcomes left here.

Trump ruined what could have been such a great 4 years. He should have stuck with DOGE, ridding government of commies, securing the border and deporting illegals. Instead, we are stuck in yet another ME quagmire.

It’s frankly disgusting.

The alternative is to walk away with the Straits closed at the whelm of Iran. We walk away weak and defeated. China and Russia will be emboldened.

How do you see this playing out in the US’s favor? Honest question.

And how do you propose to do that? You’re literally suggesting a ground invasion of Kharg.

Okay, Kharg is heavily fortified and IRGC has 150k to 190k active personnel and they are radical.

Let’s say we attempt to take Kharg. How many US casualties are you willing to accept to take the island? Does taking Kharg assure the Straits are opened or can Iran still use the threat of drones and mines to prevent passage or insured passage?

IRGC exists all over Iran. How do you root them out and defeat them without invasion of the mainland? How do you take Tehran? Again, how many casualties are acceptable and how long do we stay?

And yet, they are not defeated. He holds no ground. They continue to control the straight. He's full of shite and he isn't willing to do what he would have to do to actually "defeat" Iran. He'll lob some missiles, pound his chest and all that will change is more rubble and dead civilians.

As long as the IRGC has control of their under ground drone and missile force and can do massive damage to the oil, water desalination, and power infrastructure of the other gulf states..we can take Kharg Island, bomb the rest of the country to the stone age and it doesnt matter. The only way to take out those sites is possibly with nukes(which comes with its own set of major problems) or a ground invasion. The administration did not understand the threat Iran already possessed or the limits to which we could eliminate the threat using conventional air power....or was convinced that Iranian leadership would be swiftly altered to a more friendly government after the first couple weeks of air strikes.

Agree. What’s also crazy is that Tulsi had literally just testified that Iran was not close to getting a nuke.

Trump said last week that the uranium is entombed, but we somehow felt the need to start a war over impending nukes?
