"Wait till next year" has already been taken; Trump needs to come up with an original meme.

He could basically force Congress to hammer out compromise legislation on basically any subject he desired the moment we get to the point they need him to sign legislation keeping the government running.

I'm not saying i want him to do this necessarily but the reality is, the man with veto power can force a lot of hands.

Trump was more than willing to meet his own party halfway and give them damn near everything they wanted and all he did get in return was baseless witch hunt investigations and stabbing their own voters in the back by failing to repeal ObamaCare.

The GOP is dirty rotten garbage.

That is why the swamp needs to be drained. Trump will have a reverse presidency and will get more accomplished in the out years vs. now. The people that sent Trump to DC aren't going to say, "aww shucks, that didn't work, let's vote D in '18"

This is the beginning of the end. The voting public will send wave after wave of anti-establishment types to DC in '18 & '20. The 2nd Trump term will be when things really accelerate.

He's going call Ryan and McConnell in and tell them they have one month to get shite passed, or he is going to meet with Schumer and Pelosi and work with the Dems.

Here's an example of something Trump could do that is scorched Earth, and frankly he should have done.

San Fransisco wants to be a "sanctuary city" and not cooperate with ICE? Fine.

Flood the fricking city with federal agents. Arrest every person who is an illegal alien and deport their asses, regardless of all other factors. The law allows this.

Arrest and charge ANYONE who is aiding and abetting illegal aliens , just as the law allows.

If city officials and or law enforcement attempt to interfere, arrest and charge them.

Cut off all law enforcement related federal funding and ignore court orders that say you can't.

Take out ads on local TV and in local papers , as well on the internet that when city officials start cooperating with ICE on detainer requests, the federal pressure will back off, until then.............

This kind of pressure works, it's human nature.

Let me give an example. I was the provost marshal at a small base , we had two soldiers get attacked in a bar in the local city. After a month of no arrests , I asked the local police chief to update me on the case. This guy was a prick with a hard on about the Army (my bet is he couldn't get in when he was younger) anyway, he was dragging his feet, two soldiers attacked in a bar during operating hours and no arrest made?

Well, the Army takes care of their own, so I simply restricted everyone on base from going to any bars in the city.

Within one week , miraculously arrests were made , and within a month the guilty parties admitted guilt and were sentenced.

Yes, it's HuffPost, but still insightful.

quote:
“I will try things the Washington way first,” Trump had told his inner circle when he first named Priebus chief of staff, according to the confidant of Scaramucci and Trump. The implication was clear: If the Washington way did not work, then the New York real estate way would take over.

Now that the Washington way has failed, I think we're about to see Trump go scorched earth.

Well, so much for the New York real estate way. The only thing that got scorched today was Scaramucci's arse.

So scorched earth is to not follow the rule of law.

IMHO, that won't end well for trump.

That isn't really scorched earth IMHO. And he might just burn himself in the process, as he needs a budget for tax reform.

Why didn't he do this on healthcare? Or why doesn't he do it?

And the budget?

Good point. We are merely left with slowing down the socialists.

I think Trump calling out Sessions is designed to let the rest of the shite heads in congress know he's done with the bullshite. He needs to start calling these assholes out one by one to send a message to their constituents. Drain the fricking sewer.

It's right there for us to see. We cannot fully understand the genius that is TRUMP but we can piece together the bread crumbs that he leaves us in his wisdom.

I frankly wouldn't be surprised if there is an offshoot brand of Christianity based around Trump before it's all said and done.

On his cabinet maybe. But that is just another day in the clown show he's running. It won't get a single thing accomplished

Once upon a time, I saw Keith Olbermann talking about Donald Trump on Bill Maher.

'Ole Keith quietly acknowledged that Trump, who owns the building Keith lives in, had been gracious, curious and accommodating for as long as Keith had known him.

Trump is a born salesman. He's one of the greatest schmoozers in history.

It won't be scorched Earth, it'll be public / private; a brawler in public, but a level-headed negotiator in private.

It'll be interesting to see if he'll get results.
