BJ didn't go to the hospital soon enough and that is one of the reasons why he ended up in the ICU. Plus since that happened, there have been many studies that have confirmed that earlier treatments that are administered most effectively in the hospital have greatly reduced the amount of people needing to be transferred to the ICU. Trump is also 20 years older than BJ. So it is much better to have him at a hospital is the best decision.
Plus like the talking heads on the five are saying, this could be an opportunity for political gold if he plays this right. Not the most important thing, but it is something to keep in mind.

Relax he’s going to be fine. It’s just easier to quarantine him at Walter Reed and have his doctors close by with anything that might be needed close by. The President has his own devoted wing of Walter Reed Hospital for when they need to be admitted completely isolated from the rest of the hospital.
