Trump has tapped federal housing finance Director Bill Pulte to be DNI to replace Tulsi

Trump made the surprise announcement Tuesday on Truth Social regarding Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency and chair of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Trump says Pulte “has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the Markets, and over 10 Trillion Dollars at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, a substantial increase from where it was just 12 months ago.”
Trump says Pulte will keep his other positions even as he fills in for Gabbard, who resigned last month after revealing her husband’s cancer diagnosis.
If formally nominated, Pulte would need to be confirmed by the Senate to hold the position full time.

Why does he not reach out to someone like Michael Rogers who was the former head of the NSA? Guy was one true patriot. Visits Trump during the campaign......and the next day Trump moves his offices out. Man risked it all, not because he was a Trump fan, but actually believed in the United States.

Perhaps the DNI doesn’t really have the authority to do much of anything. I highly doubt the CIA and FBI are fully forthcoming with information.

No I would have elevated LtGen "Rainman" Adams USMC, the current Deputy, to the Director position...and leave him there especially during a time of war. I worked with him when we were Maj's/LtCol's and you cannot find a more technically and tactically proficient person who will do things right regardless of political blowback.
He has over 3,300 hours in the AH-1 Cobra, to include 300 combat flight hours, and has the utmost respect & confidence from his peers and our troops.
