Iran knows this and have the upper hand, so doubt he has the balls to launch a full scale attack.
What ever the reason- allies, markets, stockpiles….. it’s clear Iran sees it and is executing a very specific plan against him.
The frustrating thing is everyone can see it, and we haven’t disrupted it.

That can happen when you call off the dogs after a few weeks in favor of negotiating with a known hardliner representing the regime you're fighting. You legitimize the new guys who are the same as the old guys, and none of those guys give a shite about the pain and suffering inflicted upon the population of their country.
Then, letting those guys know that you function at the whims of the markets and news cycle only emboldens them more.
The Islamic Regime knows the vast majority of Americans are too soft mentally to withstand a lengthy drawn out military and economic beat down, a beat down that would lead to the eventual collapse of the Islamic Regime. Think about it, which nation has more to lose by backing down?
The answer.....IRAN!!!
Iran is all in till their last jihadi meets Allah.

This happened looong ago in this conflict.
Trump has no clue how to negotiate with Iran. Which is the precise reason many of us said this “war” was a horrible idea.
The Strait WAS ALREADY OPEN before we bombed the hell out of them and declared military victory.
He has zero ability to comprehend or attack this Rubik’s cube. His current choices are humiliation now, or sending in ground forces and an even bigger humiliation later.
Could’ve been over months ago if he didn’t keep justifying this nonsense with “Iran must be stopped to prevent X” rants…

If possible, our allies in the region need to smuggle arms and munitions that we give them directly into Iran and let the citizens finish this thing off. Complete regime change with the deposed King reinstated. Only the people can make this a winnable situation for us at this point.
I'm unsure why people believe things like this to be honest. In reality, they will continue to support the same things.
You need to look at things from their point of view if you wish to have insight. From their point of view, we are a foreign nation that is attacking their nation.
Imagine if Russia was constantly attacking us and threatening us, telling us we do not have our god given right to defend ourselves. It wouldn't matter who was in power, the majority of people would support them against a... common enemy.
Sure, you might see some people cheer for Russia in the streets and want Russia to come in and take over. "Better red than dead" type crap. We see that now with these dumb protests or not. But the reality is - those people are a big-time minority.
If Russia came in and killed our president, even if it was Biden and as much as we hate all that shite, who will the people support next? Whoever is the most extreme against our enemy of course. The guy who says - we need nukes, we need military to defend, we will take the fight to our enemies and so forth. Are you going to vote for, and/or support the Russian puppet? Are you going to accept the Russian culture and do what they want? Hell no.
And yet, you think the Iranian people are?
The more we frick with the people, the more resolved they are to be our enemies. Everything else you are talking about is a propaganda pipe dream. You wouldn't act that way, and yet we claim they are irrational for doing the exact same thing we did.
If you want to no longer have them as an enemy, then you need to stop treating them as one. If you want to keep making money for the MIC while serving the agenda of an international banking cartel, increasing the cost of living and everything else we've been fricking up for the past 26+ years, then keep attacking them because it'll never end.

Tomorrow is Friday. Another week and nothing is done. We’re close to an agreement, but we’re not. The strait is still closed. So we’ll go through the weekend again, threaten Armageddon again, and postpone because our allies asked us. So we’ll have any week of negotiations. Again. Then next Friday. Rinse and repeat.

BS
Prepared to enter a boots on the ground tunnel war?
The Democrat Presidents paid for this system.
Look at the Marines and what happened against the Japanese during Iwo Jima.
I can just imagine what the estimates are on loses in a tunnel war.

What leverage does Iran have? Since you didn’t put anything about it in your OP

Oil and SOH has giving Iran leverage.
Just watched a documentary on LBJ. Trump is following LBJs path he took with Vietnam. Thought we could just bomb the he!! out of them and they'd give in. Vietnam realized over time the US will get tired and go home so they just hunkered down in the jungle and took the punched.
Iranian leaders knows the US will eventually stop. Especially if the democrats take over.

Nobody in their right mind wants escalation
Nobody wanted us starting the conflict to begin with. It is apparent Trump has flinched in this fight. It’s a lose lose and credit to Iran or whoever for making him put his money where his mouth is.
Talk talk talk all this time about negotiations, deals that are “close” to happening (please
This is a quagmire. There’s been ZERO progress for countless weeks.
Stop our involvement in the ME. It is fruitless. Always has been and always will be. Zero NATO support where it truly counts.

If I could give your post 100 upvotes, I would.
I had this exact conversation dozens of times in the buildup to the Gulf war. I had right wing relatives insisting that U.S. troops marching into Baghdad would be heralded as liberators from Saddam, and would be given flowers like the WWII liberation of Paris.
That only works if the population has already been subjugated by an invader, and we are defeating the oppressive invader. It doesn’t work when we are the first invader.
American propaganda, directed at Americans, sometimes convinces people to believe ridiculous things.

You neglected to mention the many citizens (now subjects) who remember a free Iran, plus many more who wish that return to freedom. How many demonstrations against the regime were taking place before the ruthless slaughter of 40,000 or so added to their resolve?
Sure their are still hardliners and zealots, but to ignore the backlash of the people is painting an incomplete picture.
