You mean like these "intolerant" guys?

They and their "Fundie" ilk (I guess) "forced" their nonsensical, divisive belief and religion upon a bunch of Pagans, destroying any chance of the USA becoming the freest, wealthiness, most admired nation on earth.

So...Good thing the Founders scoffed at Christianity and its backwards morals and values of the people at the time.

OH WAIT

One of the men most responsible for our country wrote a book titled "fart proudly" and was one of the biggest poon hounds in France (France!) When he'd visit.

Another re-wrote the Bible in a blasphemous way and had bastards after raping slaves.

Save me the holy nature of our founding fathers

in his Known Space series, Larry Niven posited a government that encouraged a genetic line that was almost incapable of logical thought. The idea was that occasionally illogic thought would be useful.

Who knows, maybe he was right

There is so much misinformation on the topic. Folks on both sides occasionally argue in good faith not realizing the fallacy of their position.

e.g., I wonder if the "no exceptions" folks realize 33% of rape victims contemplate suicide. 13% attempt suicide, and those numbers are without forcing the extra trauma of carrying the pregnancy to term.

My point was that there is nothing wrong with eugenics (even for humans), so long as it is voluntary.

I do not know about you, but I married a beautiful and intelligent woman, in part because I wanted to have attractive and intelligent children.

Sometimes I think that a beautiful dimwit would’ve been much easier. She certainly would’ve been easier to find

It wasn't his fault? Are you kidding me?! That is rich coming from him since he expressly PROMISED to put justices on the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe v. Wade. It was one of the central tenets of his 2016 campaign. That and building the border wall. Now he's trying to distance himself from one of his original (and accomplished) goals as president.

Also...abolitionists were a small but vocal minority in the slavery debate. The vast majority of Americans believe abortion is a necessary evil that needs to have exceptions/caveats attached to it (just like they did when it came to slavery in the 1800s). Eventually we will win the day, just like the abolitionists won it.

No. But I am about to go online as a YouTuber content provider soon.

(So then you *are* entertained afterall? )

Can I count on your participation at my channel debut? Thumbs-up will certainly help the algorithms. And Patreon, Paypal and Bitcoin will all be acceptable.

It's weird that a disbarred Lawyer whose "career" is playing Message Board Troll 24/7 is giving you career advice.

I guess having rich parents has its benefits....

Most men don’t get to mate enough to satisfy their biological imperative, much less worry about eugenics in any meaningful way

Now if women aren’t fricking 6’3” athletic dark complected hunks of man meat, they’ve failed at being women

What changed.

You said that a fetus wasn’t a sapient / sentient and that destroying one was okay by you. Why would you now be against pate term abortions?

Read more about the founders and their actual beliefs.

Just because someone is agnostic or atheist doesn’t mean they can’t/do t have morals.

My wife and I both married each other in part because of our future children.

In my single life I wouldn't get in serious relationships with any woman I couldn't see marriage and children with. That's called being rational and responsible, not sociopathy.

Not the point he's making, at all. He said the issue was poorly handled by the GOP. TBH, that is a MASSIVE understatement!

Dems misrepresented the SCOTUS ruling as outlawing abortion. Instead of pointing that out, and viscously attacking Dems for opposition to states rights, the GOP essentially validated the Dems' misinformation.

"No exception" GOP candidates were maneuvered front-and-center by Dems and their press minions. The GOP did nothing whatsoever to counter it. Extreme positions of Dems were not similarly addressed by the GOP. I'd argue much of the GOP stupidity was d/t Turtle's fear that a sentinel GOP wave election would wash him out of leadership.

You are correct that they were not all of the same beliefs. There were some who were very religious (John Adams, John Jay, Benjamin Rush, Sam Adams) and others who were more agnostic or deist (like Jefferson and Franklin).

But there was no doubt they all believed in a divine creator, and that was where their rights were derived. Because it is clearly spelled out and articulated right in the Declaration if Independence that they all signed on to.

Nor should they have. No exceptions is the only way to go. A human life is a human life, no matter how it is conceived. That might seem radical to most but I hardly think wanting to preserve innocent life is a radical concept.
