Let me clarify; he doesn't care about peeling off a few people who drove around the country like groupies attending his events if his net approval increases. He's a numbers guy, and vox populi is going to win the day with him more often than not. He seems to have a few core issues that he really believes in, like tariffs, but outside of those he really needs gutter rails.

Populists don't care about things like that. That's in the realm of actual policy.

At this point, real federal spending cuts are as fake as the Epstein/JFK files, to me.

Well, presidents have 'signed' with them since Jefferson. We're going to have to undue a a whole lot of shite if they're all void, which may not be the worse thing, but would throw 200+ years, of presidential signatures into chaos as we investigate what was and wasn't signed with auto-pens.

Even using an auto pen doesn’t produce the same EXACT signature each time just as if you were using a regular pen…the problem with Biden’s auto pen signatures are they are all the same…

If Biden did not personally sign off on these pardons and had no idea they were happening, that is a serious problem. The president is supposed to be the one making these decisions, not some staffer with an autopen. If this is true, it makes you wonder what else is being handled without his knowledge.

Peel that onion...

Reading will suffice

quote:

Why? Because the U.S constitution requires the president to be present.

Actual text of the Constitution:

quote:

and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

I expect Trump to have Bondi push this.

And rightfully so.

If Democrats want to seek activist Judges to try and hold up Trump's orders, then frick them. Push the auto-pen to the Supreme Court.

Trump is not playing games this term

I don't even think there is a process to revoke a pardon in the Constitution.

There isn't one.

being present as a requirement is a shaky argument, but direct consent of the POTUS is pretty damned clear.

We know he didnt sign it by hand, and we know he wasnt there when it was autopenned.

So are we still pretending Joe's brain isnt porridge?

My first thought was that this will get nowhere in the courts and Trump is saying this to make more noise and distractions for Democrats.

But then I thought more about it and this could very well cause a SCOTUS dilemma of damned if they do and damned if they don't. The issue Bondi AG office needs to focus on is the security of the auto pen signatures, the approval trail, authorization to use the device, the tracking log of the device, POTUS documented authority for his signature, etc. All of which I anticipate does not exist.

Part2 is the making the case of the security requirement mandated that allows for a legal electronic signature. The auto pen does not meet any of these standards.

Part3. File the lawsuit in the court using an auto pen signature. If it's not good enough for the court to accept for the lawsuit filed then it cannot be legitimate for Biden pardon or any other legal orders using autopen.

Part 4. As an example of the autopen lack of security and validity, have autopens in Florida and California, and DC sign Trump signatures and ask the court to determine which signature is the valid signature. They will not be able to and that will cause the court a massive issue of autopen use.

If the Autopen has a time stamp and if it was signed while Biden was out of the country the how can it be valid?

I mentioned in another thread, Biden was documented to be in the Virgin Islands on the date that some of these signatures were done. And they read (paraphrasing, the text doesn't copy/paste) 'In Testimony, I have signed... Done at the city of Washington......

Not a valid comparison.

Why is the frick would The US Constitution have a law about auto-pen?

Fun Bunch’s assertion that nothing about autopen being in the constitution was stupid, ignorant, and nonsensical.

Sadly Biden probably considers his greatest accomplishment was standing behind that little girl, fondling her and twisting her nipples in national television and getting applause for it

You do realize that utilizing "autopen" is fairly common practice?

We knew Joe was inept when he took office, we have known this shite was happening from the start.
