I just understand why a Catholic Cardinal would be, especially when they’re getting paid hundreds of millions of NGO dollars.

So you're saying they serve money, not God.

That's what you're saying.

You are sad. The Catholic Church systematically circumvented the law, hid pedophiles, paid off victims of sexual abuse and covered up abuse for decades. They may teach the Gospel from pulpit and put up a good front, behind the curtain things are dark and dangerous.

I have been pretty emphatic the last few days in condemning Pope Leo’s foray into American politics.

My detractors are having fun stating that I am doing this out of allegiance to President Trump and that I have chosen Trump over God.

WRONG.

The biggest reason by far why I am so vocal on this is the damage Pope Leo is doing to the Catholic Church in the USA.

I believe Pope Leo has done more to harm US Catholicism in just a few days than any other Pope of the past 100 years (even Francis).

Pope Leo is literally causing orthodox, faithful American Catholics to flee the Church out of disgust over his leftwing politicization and his kowtowing to Islam. Moreover, he has opened the door for boundless criticism against Catholicism from certain Protestant denominations and churches, causing untold harm to Christian ecumenism in the USA.

It is precisely because I care so much about the Church that Jesus founded in AD 33 that I oppose the havoc Pope Leo has unleashed in the US Church.

(And yes, under Church doctrine and as a Catholic, I am fully entitled to hold such beliefs and express them.)

Thats just a bold face lie or dishonesty on his part.

As a Catholic, Francis did waaaaaay more damage because of his ambiguity.

And US Catholcism breaking off into its own branch...would just be the American version of Eastern Orthodox...which also is wrapped up in nationalism

Jesus spent his entire ministry being criticized by the Pharisees and Saduccees.

If anything, his decentralized Church was seen as a threat to the Jewish establishment.

Christianity decided to create their version with Roman Catholicism and other formal denominations.

Why Christians of any stripe pay attention to a Church and person who claims to speak for God and all is ridiculous.

The Pope and whoever are just people. Ignore them.

Member when we sent a couple busloads to Martha's Vineyard? I think about 1000 in Vatican City would show, quickly, what Pope Bobby really thinks.

Well… it was God who said the church speaks for him. “What you bind is bound, what you loose is loosened.”
“If there is a disagreement , take it to the church”
All that being true… it is also true that Leo is a wack job.”

Why would a Catholic Cardinal not promote open borders to migrants from majority Catholic nations?

To traffic humans, drugs and crime? That is what the Cardinal was promoting with the aid of the Catholic Church.

Obama sent Axlerod ... and The Pope gave him an audience so that they could strategize and collaborate.

We sometimes forget, Obama and this current Pope are both Chicago Democrats ... sic communists.

I'm happy that Trump is winning his online chicken fight with the Pope, but aren't we at war?

The Catholic Church isn’t law enforcement. They are a church that preaches forgiveness of sins and redemption through God’s love. Why would they care if someone committed a crime?

That is a feature, not a bug.

The hierarchy of the Catholic Church is a corrupt as TV preachers that everybody properly hates.

Religion is great except for the same money/power grabbing assholes who infect the upper levels of it like any other established institution.

Ironically, the very hypocrite advocating for open borders sits behind a walled city with more security than can be found at almost any airport in the US.

"It is hilarious to watch redneck Protestants just attack an entity they do not understand. Literally, they’ve been told from the pulpit what belief. The Catholic Church truly tries to live out what the gospel teaches, and that includes immigration and loving my neighbor. Which is a tough thing for protestants in the south."

You do not have a clue what you are talking about. Many years ago I was on a medical mission trip to a central American country. The village had a huge Catholic church, definitely the finest building for many miles around, yet according to the village folks who lived there, the doors had not been opened for months and they had seen no one. Our group of doctors and dentists rolled into town for a week long trip to see patients, pull teeth, etc, in conjunction with a Baptist missionary and his crew who would be leading religious services during the week. Suddenly the priest showed up and opened the doors to the church. I did not see a single person go in. They all knew why he was there, and it was only because he did not want to see any of the local villagers going to the Protestant services. I for one, thought it hilarious, but in the long run, they were both working for the same team. It was just one group was putting their beliefs in action by actually helping the people, not putting on a big show with a fancy building when the local people were living in houses with dirt floors.

I especially like when a recent convert tries to tell the Pope that he is wrong and does not understand theology.....and then puts a picture of a Methodist Church on a cover of a book about his conversion to Catholicism.
