CNN or CNBC news story in the coming week: Why 30% rates on credit cards aren't as bad as you think.

The wording is important. He's calling for 10%, not requiring it.
It's a political chess move.

Trump boys don't care. They have not loyalty to anything but the man Trump. Ideas mean shite to them.
They are going to fade quick when he's gone and their kingdom will be undone in weeks.
Trump is no conservative by any stretch. He's a rightwing socialist.

That's probably because ALL he can do is "call for it". He cannot "require" it.

More government regulation.
I didn't vote for that.

I wonder if some credit card companies will respond with 10-20 dollar monthly fees just for having the card and add annual fees of over a hundred dollars like some elite cards have for subprime users.
Amex platinum is 900 a year. Ised to be 500 a year. If you like the benefits you keep it. If you don’t you don’t.

If this is true it’s stupid. If you don’t like the interest rate on your credit card get a different one or don’t use credit.

The same people who complain about Trump not tackling affordability are also now complaining that Trump is tackling affordability. You want Trump to deliver, supposedly, but then you want to handcuff him. You want him to only follow your approved methods.
Once again, the procedure is more important than the results.
There's also no need to be upset before anything becomes a reality. There's a good chance this is Trump making the first move in a negotiation with the credit card companies. I know the president negotiating with companies is still wrong to the "true conservatives," but we have to be honest. Your methods haven't delivered.
Corporations have taken advantage of the American people. The wealth gap they created is not sustainable. When it reaches a point, there is violence. I'd prefer not to reach that point just because our principles tell us we're virtuous for putting the almighty dollar above everything else.
This is also for one year. Crying because bankers won't make even more profit for a few months is ridiculous. Do people not remember the bailouts? Conservatives were against that, but now they're against the people getting some of that money back. It's insane how conservatives shoot themselves in the foot and tell you how they're better for doing so.

This will have unintended negative consequences, especially for those of us who don’t carry balances.
Loss or reduction in points and rewards. Increased annual fees. Higher merchant fees that get passed on to consumers.

1000%.
And for all that disagree - where do you draw the line? 3%? 0%? Hell, make the credit card companies pay you 30%. How is this different from the minimum wage argument?

Congratulations! You just posted the dumbest statement I’ve ever read on the Poli Board not written by SDVTiger…
Care to back that statement up with evidence? If the people who understand money can't make money, then why should we trust them?
Go ahead and call my post dumb while I continue to make money off of dumb people in the market. The market relies on people losing money to support winners who take that money. We need people like you and encourage you to spread your message.
