Your right, the entire banana republic shite show against Trump has been reasonable.

No really what boosie was saying. Its pretty standard stuff for judges to restrict arguments in the manner described by that quote.

Can't just get up there and rant forever about things that aren't even before the court.

I have begun liking this moniker. It's funny, because it's a lot like a member of a real cult telling someone that attends a Methodist church that they're in a cult.

(not you boosie, i know you're prog filth)

I'm sure he can testify if he so desires.

This was his attempt to do an end-around and "testify" without cross.

From your post history, you wouldn't know the definition of "reasonable" unless you got it from the MSM.!

If I was Trump's attorney I would be very much against him saying anything at this point.

He can.

The prosecution has a problem with this because in their minds, him closing is tantamount to testimony without cross examination.

You’ve made a lot of closing arguments in your day? You understand it to be a free-for-all?

So he could talk, he just couldn't talk about certain things that would help his case. Got it

As a party before the Court, he was certainly entitled to testify.

Why did he not help his case by doing that?

Exactly and it's something one of the Long brothers would've tried to get away with.

All objections extend from the asinine summary judgement.

I thought he did and the Judge shut him down mid-testimony because he did not like what he was saying.

In a jury trial, there has to be limitations on the presentation of the case and closing... for obvious reasons!

In a bench trial, the ability to create a record by criticizing the judge and the proceeding by a defendant is a bit different

Giving trump a time limit to make his statements is appropriate here. However, allowing closing by his lawyers but not trump is not going to win any appellate arguments for trump

An attorney for Trump informed Judge Arthur Engoron earlier this week that the ex-president wished to speak during the closing arguments and Engoron initially approved the plan, The Associated Press reported. Now Engoron has rescinded the move, even though Trump is still expected to appear. LINK

If the Anti Trump Consortium has it's way they will either snuff Trump or cut his tongue out.
