I guess we are now in a place where it's impossible to win an election by telling the people the truth.

I agree on no income tax but there has to be steps to get there.
No tax on overtime & no tax on tips are steps in the right direction

There are times when Trump just can't forget his Democrat leanings...

Want to know why the uniparty hates Trump?
This is why. All the big banks, big business, and multinational corporations don't care about the average American or what's fair. Trump does and it will cost those folks money.
The uniparty hates Trump because they are told to do so by the above whom give them large campaign contributions.

What does Trump promoting socialism have to do with this?

No they're not. They're leftist-style gimmes to buy votes.
Comprehensive income tax reform is fair and proper.
Targeted income tax decreases to buy votes is socialism.

There’s already a cap

Why is it an all or nothing type thing for you?

Political sound bite for low information and low intelligence voters.
No POTUS has the constitutional authority to do this. So far the totality of the Congress has not shown any interest in attempting to nationalize all banking and thus lacks any Constitutional authority also.
10th Amendment, states rights issue the same as abortion where he does take the right approach. Not only a leftist policy, but he is being inconsistent.

We want to decrease government picking winners and losers and create a system where everyone is treated equal under the law.
Equality, not equity.

I don't think there should be any interest on credit cards. That would help thuh people most.
Or, make it so you could loan yourself money from your credit card, and whatever interest you build up you could print your own money to cover that. Make it so Office Depot had to sell you the printer and paper and ink at cost.

Thinking that someone keeping more of their own labor is a gimme is a leftist-style thought process.

The government "Picking winners and losers" is a Leftist philosophy.
Less government producing a more equal society is conservative philosophy.

shite, I can get behind student loan debt relief faster than this tampering.

At this point I would be saying all kinds of stuff to hopefully get undecideds over. Doesn’t mean you have to actually do it

That's what's happening here. Everyone who works overtime won't have that labor taxed.
