I was charged an almost 13% processing fee last week when getting a driver's license for my daughter.

It seems that Trump had gotten into a giveaway battle with Kamala. It’s not a good plan or look.

So where would the CC companies recoup all the loss in interest from?

Higher CC feeds to merchants, thus passed on to every customer of theirs instead of those with shitty credit and high interest rates

It’s a good idea in principle but I doubt it would ever pass. A lot of low income families live on credit card debt and are charged astronomically high interest rates. This isn’t something the market can correct because there really is very little competition at the major credit card level and they sucker people in with low introductory rates

You know darn well that the Fed Gov already caps it.

How much should they be making? Is 18% okay? 15%, 12, 10, 5?

There's pandering and then there's nonsense. Caps on credit card rates will result in retaliatory actions by credit card companies. They are going to get that capped money one way or another, or simply deny credit to individuals.

It’s a terrible idea if we lived in a conservative nation that believed in and supported the notion of a small government but we don’t. It’s a great idea for poor voters

Due to federal laws, some interest rate caps are in place, but those are for being enlisted in the military or working with a federally chartered credit union.

The Federal Gov also caps interest rates on loans. ETC.
