You are conflating two things...

Sending Rudy to investigate corruption in the Ukraine is NOT the same as sending Rudy to the Ukraine to investigate Biden.

Question for you if you’ll indulge me ?
If Trump sends an investigator to the Ukraine to look into corruption (which is widely accepted as a well known issue ) and during that investigation some of the corruption uncovered involves American politicians ...what’s the acceptable protocol in your opinion for further action?

O'Reilly asked once again: "Giuliani's your personal lawyer. So you didn't direct him to go to Ukraine to do anything or put any heat on them?"
"No, I didn't direct him, but he's a warrior, Rudy's a warrior. Rudy went, he possibly saw something. But you have to understand, Rudy (has) other people that he represents," Trump said, adding that Giuliani has "done work in Ukraine for years."

I’ll answer it. The point of the article is that he previously denied sending Rudy to Ukraine. Now he’s defending having done so.

WRONG AGAIN!!! You are consistent, I'll give you that.

The point of the article is to falsely claim the motive was political, when in fact it was anti-corruption.

Reaching here. The previous quote on directing him was in reference to digging up dirt on Biden. No where does he contradict this.

To repeat, why is the GOTCHA LINE in the first paragraph of the article found nowhere else in the article?

Articles like this are why media in general, CNN specifically, and liberals like Mickey have no credibility when it comes to Trump.

Here is the CNN's reference about Trumps "initial denial":
Ahead of a Tuesday night rally in Florida, Trump was asked by conservative radio host Bill O'Reilly if the President directed Giuliani's involvement in Ukraine.

"No," the President said, before launching into a tangent of flattering Giuliani's credentials, calling him "a great corruption fighter" and "the greatest mayor" of New York City.

Trump originally said "No" to directing Rudy to pressure Ukraine....which is exactly what he's saying now.
He never said "No I didn't send him", he said he didn't direct him.

Does CNN think Rudy took some PTO, bought a plane ticket, and headed off to Ukraine on his own? Good grief

Conflating complex and nuanced thoughts/actions is an important tool of the deranged Left. How else would seemingly educated and/or prosperous people ever vote for a Democrat?

Actually what bothers me is anyone on the left that wants to complain about lies. That's like complaining that Barr is Trump's Wing Man... oh, wait...

All Republican Presidential lies together would not equal the lies of Slick Willy OR Hussein Obama.

For someone who has argued parsed words to the end of the world to now avoid any possibility of the same in this case is interesting no?

Let's play the lefty word game...Trump told Guiliani to follow up on the Crowdstrike thingy. He never actually told him to go to Ukraine. There's his out, easy peasy. Right?

Plausible deniability built in...Crowdstrike info drew Guiliani to Ukraine, therefore he sent him to Ukraine to followup. Thus the admission.

After CNN host Chris Cuomo questioned whether Giuliani had asked Ukraine to investigate Biden, Giuliani said, "No, actually I didn't. I asked the Ukraine to investigate the allegations that there was interference in the election of 2016 by the Ukrainians for the benefit of Hillary Clinton."

"You never asked anything about Hunter Biden? You never asked anything about Joe Biden?" Cuomo followed up.

"The only thing I asked about Joe Biden is to get to the bottom of how it was that Lutsenko ... dismissed the case against AntAC," Giuliani said, referring to former Ukrainian prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and the Ukrainian-based Anti-Corruption Action Centre (AntAC).

"So you did ask Ukraine to look into Joe Biden," Cuomo said.

"Of course I did," Giuliani replied.

"You just said you didn't," Cuomo responded.

"I didn't ask them to look into Joe Biden," Giuliani shot back. "I asked them to look into the allegations that related to my client which tangentially involved Joe Biden."

Like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

And you idiots lap it up.

I have more respect for the ones who say “so what?” than the ones who say “nuh uh.”

You don't have to play the liberal word game. Trump never said he didn't send Rudy. Only that he didn't direct him to pressure Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. The 1st paragraph of the CNN article is an outright lie.

Did you read the story you linked? If you think that garbled load of crap is a gotcha, you’re an example of confirmation bias. Typical CNN hit piece . You should be embarrassed.
