Just google it ffs. There are many verses where Jesus says as much. And then in the other writings of the early church like Paul(who was writing before the Gospels) it is abundantly clear he believes they are living in the last generation before the return of Christ? Haven’t spent too much time with your Bible huh?

This is what the Christian has been conditioned to believe.

Never was it meant for a Christian to ignore their beliefs and hide in the public square NOR in politics.

I’m curious where this is in the Bible, as well. Not disagreeing with you but id like to read about it

I’m sure the reference is to Matthew 24:34.
“Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.”

FALSE! Rough times, but sad that one would even feel the *need* to reference Christ.

Just let it go.

Jesus absolutely said that multiple times, but that is nothing compared to the writings of Paul to the early church, he absolutely believes and preached to them as they were living in end times/the last generation.

No. Is Christianity closed to new members or something? You guarding the gates?

Jesus did not lie about his return to Earth, because some of those who were standing there did not taste death before the saw the Son of man coming in his Kingdom. Out-of-context speculation is both useless and needless, so now that you’ve quoted the introduction, read the rest with it:

28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.—Matthew 16:28–17:5 (KJV)

After six days, Jesus partly fulfilled that prophecy and fully fulfilled it when Jesus was resurrected and came to His disciples during the 40 days before Pentecost and met with them in His glorified form. He was no longer bound by physical boundaries and natural laws. He was resurrected into a glorified body that will never taste death again.

This was Jesus coming in His kingdom, in His glorified form.

It did not ever say that they would not die before they saw the actual kingdom itself, as Heaven. That comes later.

Also just calling one a “liar”, when they disagree(and especially disagree with facts), is unbelievably stupid and unbecoming of anyone wanting to participate in a real debate.

Many believe that J was referencing the Holy Spirit. The HS came to those believers about 50 days after Christ’s resurrection.

God helps those who help themselves. If you sit on your hands waiting for the rapture, you will recline your way to your coffin.

They would not have to push so hard if they were not afraid of the people opposing them. Call your elected officials, organize, show up at meetings, run for office, plant victory gardens, make babies, arm yourself with both knowledge and weapons, and make your politicians listen if only to get rid of you. You CAN make a difference at the local level. And local politics have more sway over your lives as well as national politics than you could ever imagine.

Let God inform your action, and never be the cause of your inaction.

The more the right is obsessed with religion, the more that they will lose. I mean go ahead, pander all of the, “the wrath of a vengeful God” stuff, let me know how it works out.

The more and more that our country shuts God out the more wicked and lawless we become. So our “losing” happens in quite the opposite manner.

I could not have called you that without you telling a lie.

You used that lie to knock Christianity and Christians standing on their faith to exercise their rights as citizens of the USA.

You 100% absolutely lied to demean Christianity. Thus... LIAR!

And nowhere does it tell Christians to push their beliefs aside nor to deny Christ at any point in time or phase of life.

Splitting hairs. I believe there IS more to reality than humans can understand, but seriously.... It's silly to get so specific.
Perhaps Christ indeed WILL swing by again some day. If not, life will CARRY ON!!. No Christ needed.
