he specifically said he didnt know when and also gave other clues including restoration of Jerusalem. also let me add that Christ is not and has never been omniscient.

I don't know you or "your side", other than you openly mock God and his followers. I don't mock anyone for not believing in God. I pray for the non-believers who will spend an eternity in their hot paradise.

Yea because atheist know/understand that society doesn’t get its morals from religion but rather religion gets them from us.

Thanks for this disclaimer, because

sounds an awful lot like mocking.

You’ll eventually figure out what’s wrong with your post. Maybe.

Jesus told his disciples that he would come back during their lifetime. Obviously he didn’t, but the early leaders of the church like Paul absolutely believed such as well. Jesus did not lie about his return to Earth, because some of those who were standing there did not taste death before the saw the Son of man coming in his Kingdom. Out-of-context speculation is both useless and needless, so now that you’ve quoted the introduction, read the rest with it: 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. 1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. 4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. 5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.—Matthew 16:28–17:5 (KJV) After six days, Jesus partly fulfilled that prophecy and fully fulfilled it when Jesus was resurrected and came to His disciples during the 40 days before Pentecost and met with them in His glorified form. He was no longer bound by physical boundaries and natural laws. He was resurrected into a glorified body that will never taste death again. This was Jesus coming in His kingdom, in His glorified form. It did not ever say that they would not die before they saw the actual kingdom itself, as Heaven. That comes later.

It’s stunning how quickly naysayers and those who cite scripture without full understanding evaporate when the Lord’s scripture is brought out in it’s full glory…..pffft….they’re gone.

I would disagree here. Religion/spirituality is the primary driver for social paradigms. Nothing shapes the world like it, not even close.

It's not mocking and don't take my word for it. It's the Word of God.

John 3:3
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Cool, it also says:

quote:

Deuteronomy 25:11-1: If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.

quote:

Exodus 21:7-8: When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again.

quote:

II Kings 6:28-29: And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.

quote:

II Kings 13:8-12: And when she had presented him the meat, he took hold of her, and said: Come lie with me, my sister. She answered him: Do not so, my brother, do not force me: for no such thing must be done in Israel. Do not thou this folly. II Kings 13:14: But he would not hearken to her prayers, but being stronger overpowered her and lay with her.

"The more the right is obsessed with religion, the more that they will lose"

I guess I have to ask, what will they lose?

Will they lose God's favor? Will they lose popularity among sinners? Will they lose battles that they fight on the lord's bahalf? Will they lose their eternal soul?

Exactly what is the right losing?

People now days look at the Bible and cherry pick which verses seem good based on today’s morals. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” etc, they don’t harp on “women should be silent in the service” women should have their hair a certain length and certain way, this is all New Testament btw. On the Old Testament
it’s just to easy.. God sent a bear to kill some people that were mocking someone for being bald? You’re picking and choosing based on secular values/morals.

Look up the origin of the term "Doubting Thomas".

As you do, feel free to reconsider your posit that, IAW the Bible, Jesus did not come back in their lifetimes.

Not necessarily.

It's more of a lack of resolve.
