Don't believe a Nugget would have the seniority number to hold a CRJ/Mitsubishi 900 line, unless Endeavor is under manned. Rookies generally hold reserve lines, or the crap lines that were passed over by those above them on the seniority list.

ATP is equivalent to earning a PHD in Flying, so its a bit disingenious to say she just got her "license".

There are thousands of pilots who don't have their ATP who fly aircraft as big as , if not bigger and more complex than the CRJ- I.E. Gulfstream G550,G650, G700, Global Express ,Boeing Business Jet etc etc

Usually for a top end 121 or 135 carrier they are going to mandate their pilots have the ATP designation.

I don't think this was a DEI issue

ATP isn't the first license a pilot get.

Yes it is , I work in private aviation and hire over 15 pilots per year for my clients.

Obtaining an ATP is the highest certification you can have as a pilot . You can theoretically have “low time” and an ATP b ur the requirements to comply with obtaining an ATP require a high level of airmanship and knowledge

Here's the best explanation of the crash (only relevant political implication, the non-flying pilot working the radios is a man):

I’m well aware. I’ve had an ATP license for 15 years and have experience in 91, 135 and 121 aviation. I was by no means a “PhD level” pilot when I got my ATP. It’s not that hard to get.

Not even close

Eta: Welll, maybe HER skill level, but for any pilot at the airline level that landing should’ve been routine.

If she wants to attempt a barrel roll , do it in the air … then land.
