Hillary will win anyway - it's going to be amazing to watch the Republican meltdown.

You do realize that white trash people vote for democrats, right? Obama won people making below 35k a year by an astounding 40 percentage points in 2012.

The notion that poor white people vote republican is one of the many democrat lies that has been stated so much it has become the truth.

Even in Mississippi, the 13 percent of the white vote that Obama won came from Boondock people.

I would install my socks as President given that alternative.

There are better, more accomplished, more conservative candidates that should be getting more attention than Carson. For some reason, though, white conservatives get giddy when they hear a black person criticize Obama.

or Rand Paul. I don't think Allen West is electable though, and I think Ted Cruz doesn't get enough credit here cause the PT board has Paul's Johnson in their pie holes

Ok with Cruz, Haley, Rubio, *Jindal, or *Perry

Please God No for Santorum, Bachman, Christie, or Bush III

Ted Cruz/a midwestern/NE Senator or governor.

Much as I hate to say it but the GOP is going to need a NE or midwestern 'moderate' as VEEP to win.

Many on here are stuck on Rand Paul but I think Cruz can get a sizable bloc of the hispanic vote.

I have heard it said that if the GOP can 20% of the Hispanic vote, the democratic party will be a permanet party in the minority in DC.

There's a few problems with that:
1. Hispanics historically have low turnout rates compared to other demographics even when a hispanic person is on the ballot.
2. Hispanics, unlike blacks, do not vote in a block. The gop/dem gap is much narrower in hispanics.
3. Most hispanics who aren't cuban (roughly 70-80% of all hispanic voters and 90%+ of hispanic voters outside of florida) like Marco Rubio and are heavily prejudiced against Cubans. Most hispanics hate Cubans more than they hate blacks, whites, or asians.

Marco Rubio also has some very hawkish stances on foreign policy, the war on drugs, and personal privacy. He's a trap candidate.

Which she'll be doing safely tucked away in Minnesota. After she leaves the House in January, she'll be baking cookies and doing the talk circuit thing for the next two years.

Its interesting to see the demographics of the elections, it changes pre-conceived notions.
LINK

* Romney won whites 59/39
* Obama won poors 60/38
* Obama won post grads 55/34

so if the democrats are the party of the poor, republicans are the party of whites (and old), and the democrats are the party of highly educated.

Reality is the only demographics that were truly owned by either side was obama winning minorities. Where he won 75%+ of minorities, and 90%+ of blacks.
