Yes, if it contains more than 0.3% total THC and you have a stash that you owned yesterday, if you still have that stash, in ANY amount, it is now a felony state jail charge EQUAL to as if it were Columbian cocaine.
However, if you only have a couple of ounces if marijuana, that's a misdemeaner and you get a slap on the wrist.
Make it make sense.
Possessing the same two ounces of hemp derived THC carries a baseline state jail penalty of 180 days to two years behind bars and up to a $10,000 fine.
Wow! That's incredibly draconian.

That's because Texas is largely run by retards who watched too much Reefer Madness.

Awesome. Weed is trashy and it’s acceptance started the downfall of our society.

I saw somewhere any thc cart, even empty, in Texas is automatic felony. Surprised with all the libs who have landed there.

Tell us you’re a pot head, without telling us you’re a pot head.

Anyone who is upset is probably smoking a bong in their mom’s basement.

Fl is killing Tx.
Gone from a top 10 state to bottom half and collapsing with the massive influx of illegal aliens and Muslims

Aren’t you one of the guys here who consider themselves a libertarian?

That's not the point. They made it a schedule 1 drug equal to the same thing as possessing cocaine. One gram gets you a minimum 6 month sentence in a state prison.

Time to clean up America. Also this should stop the rest of California from moving to Texas. Win win. Stop smoking weed.

Do these people think that everyone living in Texas drives around in Cheech and Chong’s van made of Pot?
These people will fill up the jails with potheads and then when jails become overcrowded they will want to release people with way worse records to make room.

I don’t understand how they let millions of illegals come thru their state but pot is bad. I don’t partake but have no problem with those who do.

It's ridiculous. Hemp is much better than cotton. Used in clothing and rope, it much exceeds cottons performance.
And you can't get high on hemp.
It's bullshite. The corporations invested in cotton/products lobby the corrupt politicians in states and DC to have their way.
Did you know that Henry Ford made cars outta hemp that were stronger and lighter than cars made of metals?
He also had car engines running on alcohol, cleaner and better performance than gasoline. Rockefeller used his money and influence in the federal government to pursue gasoline as the primary fuel.
Money and it's influence has corrupted this nations federal government for way too long. Always to enrich greedy fricks and no consideration for we the people.
Don't take my word for it, look it up. But seek several sources.

People are going to smoke pot no matter if it’s legal or not. We can pass all these dumb laws on its use and fill up jails and prisons with potheads or we can reserve all that room for people that really needs to be taken off the streets.
