Evidently it’s that we’re morons for taking the POTUS at his word during a war. Shame on us really.

A 16 oz bottle cost 0.99, which is 8.00 a gallon

Just another reason I will never complain about gasoline prices in tUSA. It is, by far, the greatest deal going in this country. The state and federal governments make more per gallon than the companies do. The cost of everything it takes to get it from the ground to the tank is extreme and we pay, comparatively, very little.

You have actual TDS what the true definition of it really is. Its not some obese blue haired trans homosexual lib that hates Trump. Actual TDS is the bullshite you are spewing on here to defend Trump on this Iran boondoggle. Trump miscalculated, he has claimed 'victory' over Iran several times, yes he has said we obliterated Iran's nuclear capability back in Operation Midnight Hammer in June of 2025 which if that was true there was ZERO reason to attack Iran in 2026. Trump has also said on multiple occasions that we have decimated Iran's Navy and Air Force and military infrastructure. Its all bullshite that you are trying to unsuccessfully defend on here because you have actual TDS

A task so easy anyone could've done it.

military infrastructure
The way they built their military around cheap missiles and drones, this would take quite awhile.

Could one could compare Iran's toll to, say, a tariff?

None of this needed to happen. This has been a debacle from the get go.
You have to look at the big picture- Trump ran the Chinese out of the Panama Canal, then he cut off China from their 2 main sources of cheap oil- Venezuela and now Iran. Over time, this will have a major effect on their power. I don't think the average Democrat can think that hard to see that Trump knows what he is doing.

there's an average Democrat here in this room that believes China has immense leverage as a result of the above. They are drawing down on their low cost reserves now. Once those are depleted said Dem believes we will really be in trouble.

We are there because of oil. Hussein wanted to control the oil fields to stop producing to jack the price up because Iraq was in serious debt.
As much as I dislike Bush. He kept your gas prices low as frick.

Yea....... but depending on the outcome it may end up being to their (China's) benefit.

Sort of pointless since the average person has no use for gallons of printer ink

This idea that we hold all the cards and China has no leverage is just wish casting and ignorance.

Ok - I'll do it. From Grok and I suppose they almost give the printer to sell you more ink cartridges in the future,
Roughly $13–$75+ per ounce (or ~$0.40–$2.50+ per mL) depending on the cartridge and brand.
That works out to roughly $1,700–$9,600+ per US gallon,
