It's almost like these protests don't accomplish anything at all. Hard to believe.

Thursday
quote:

An anti-violence march along Lake Shore Drive to Wrigleyville was held during Thursday’s evening rush hour — before a Cubs game and on the first day of Lollapalooza. Organizers said the idea behind bringing the city's North Side to a standstill was to "redistribute the pain in Chicago."

Monday:
quote:

At least 73 people were shot in one of the most violent weekends of the year in Chicago, spurred by a 7-hour period early Sunday morning when 40 people were shot.

Between 3 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday morning, 11 people were killed and 61 people were wounded, according to Tribune data. Their ages spanned from 11 to 62 years old, and most of those shot were attacked on the South and West sides.

As of Friday, at least 1,700 people have been shot in the city this year, fewer than the last two years at this time when violence hit record levels in the city but well above other recent years. There have been at least 300 homicides, according to Tribune data.

See, if they would have had a candle light vigil in addition to stoping traffic it might have worked this time. Their cousins and brothers might have stopped shooting each other for a night.

Democratic Governance in Full. Take the time to remember how Chicago got here and what policies produce these armies of sociopathic predators.

Who needs to actually solve problems when you can make a sign and chant at people.

11 killed over wknd

This weekend I looked up how many U.S. servicemen have been killed in Iraq so far in 2018.

The answer: 11.

To discourage violence we must encourage road rage!

Bold strategy Cotton, the payoff:

73? That’s not a city. It’s a war zone.

Why are they protesting in the North side?

Isn’t South side where all the violence is?

I just don’t care anymore. Really, why should I? These people don’t value human life and have no desire to live in a civilized society. This lifestyle is glorified in that culture, so why should we feel any sympathy towards them? They aren’t dying for some noble cause, they are dying for street corners and city blocks in shite hole neighborhoods they created.

Lakeshore Drive and Wrigleyville -- good to see them really focusing their efforts in their "protest" here on where it matters and hits home most.

Where next, Kenosha, Wisconsin?

Yes, and the dichotomy is pretty amazing here. I live right in the middle of the city, and it's so large that all this violence feels like it's just in another world.

The only thing that really affects much of the city are things like the brazen car-jackings that took place on Sunday morning.

State of Emergency, declare martial law, suspend Habeas Corpus, round them up, ship their asses off for internment as guests of the Marine Corps in Guantanamo.

Couple of ways to look at this:

1. All of the peace loving people from the south side left the hood for a while to protest on the north side. That left the violent MFers to shoot it out on the south side.

2. People who do not respect human life also do not respect protests of their lack of respect for human life.
