Well that's solution number 1, number two suspend payroll tax on both sides, employer and employee for 18 months. Economy will be back in less than 6 months and better than ever after a year.

And I agree, all the idiots calling for complete lock down etc for 3-4 weeks don't understand there will be nothing to come back to if you do that. Nothing, most people would be jobless and losing everything.

Nah, things have to be examined on a case by case basis. These are not normal times.

I think you are getting it wrong. There people DO have a “Code,” it just is not the “conservative” Code that they claim.

Their “Code” is Trump. That simple.

Na, they will jump to the next one after he is gone. Seen it before with GWbush first term.

Really???? How much longer do you want furloughed people to wait? He wants to have a discussion that no matter, he would lose, even if he had thewhole Republican caucus behind him.

time is not on our side to do any wrangling over the pork. Those who tossed in the excess need to be held to account when the dust settles though.
And how does that happen, with no hearings and no voice vote?

Do we need to pass the bill, in order to find out what is in it?

Like I posted, we shouldn't be shutting it down. Healthy people go back to work and do everything you can to protect yourself.

#2 cut payroll taxes on both sides.

And wtf is 2-3k going to do for you in the long run? Bottom line is if we don't open things back up, it does nothing. Just prolongs the bullshite.

Problem is this bill is not in good faith and the government doesn't have the authority to be doing what they have done. fricking power grab.

No I'm not saying the virus isn't real or serious, doesn't make what they did right.

You people are crazy to want 100% yes on anything that goes through that place....

The bill is a disaster but for some reason the debt hasn't mattered since 2001ish

Based on post history alone, you described Jimmy the leg, not Hank.

That is a reasonable argument for supporting the stimulus. It is filled with pork and it very well might cause a spike in inflation somewhere down the road.

I agree

If anything this shows how easily people fall into line

How many lock step Trump supporters in South LA are sharing pro-gov lockdown memes and posts on social media? It’s a frickin ton.

Rand had widespread support for his filibusters during the Obama years. Today, he's considered treasonous.

These checks wont arrive for another 3-5 weeks.

Civil unrest will start way before then if the food chain breaks.

In MEmphis yesterday, a large portion of workers at Krogers Delta Warehouse walked off the job because somebody tested positive.

That means no trucks went out to stores in the mid south.

This bill will do nothing to stop civil unrest.

He got called out on here the other day for the Afghanistan amendment. You had supposed fiscal conservatives calling him out for wanting to give the President the authority to transfer funds from a 20-year war to help pay for the stimulus. That's what a fiscal conservative does. Looks for cuts in one area to pay for more funding in another when needed.
