With all that junk she took home it's no surprise she has no neck and multiple chins.

He did, instead of going up 20% a year they are only going up 3%. So if you think like a Dem does when they scream about cutting govt spending because the budget only increased by 10% instead of 30% it is a cut.

Healthcare prices are high because of obesity/diabetes and Illegal Immigrants using hospital emergency rooms as their primary care provider.

How does food assistance for some make your prices higher?

I volunteer for meals on wheels. The elderly that apply for temp help IHEAP get denied or $11 a month.

How does this fat Karen get $600?

I hate the EBT tribe as well but we bought groceries today and it was just me and my gal we have no kids and the final total was only like 175$. I wasn’t paying attention to prices on items at all while we shopped but that’s a significant drop from what we have become used to paying.

Another thing the orange man giveth. It could just be my area where gas is a count hair from under 2$ driving prices down. Idk

Ochsner 24 hr clinics aren’t any better, snag the tip of finger and lots of skin/flesh pulled back. When I went in they did the questionnaire followed by waiting in a room for maybe 20 mins. Doctor came in, she was the most impersonal experience with doctors ever, and one statement was asked of me then turned to attendant and told her what to do. After a number of stitches I was on my way but she bill Cameron my part was 240.00 and Blue Cross was 2600.00. No X-ray, no anything other than those stitches and the shot to numb the area. Now I know insurance companies get special pricing that is reduced so you can imagine what the cost would have been if out of pocket only.

Groceries are so high because we print 2T per year MORE than we bring in in revenue, and welfare is a big part of that. It’s not the only part of that.

Defense alone is about half of that. A shitty ‘free’ healthcare system where people don’t negotiate and pay their own way is the other half.

Just why the phuck is anyone still going to work anymore ?

With all the fraud going on in Minnesota, California, Ohio, and Maine why are we still paying taxes ?

The Patriots in Boston in 1775 started a damn war for a lot less.

On my Faceboot page yesterday over 10,000 people were planning not to pay their taxes any longer , they plan to list themselves as ‘ exempt ‘ .

The property tax issue is boiling over , folks are realizing that they will never own their property/ home .

If you live in Central if you buy a new car the sales tax is 11.5 % .
Do the math , it hurts.

So, I counted canned olives, and fresh zucchini, squash, and tomatoes with some chicken which was nutritious and should have been covered.

They rest she can pay for please.

Yea pretty much. Food assistance is a drop in the bucket compared to other government spending. And grocery prices skyrocketed over the last 5 years primarily due to a variety of inflationary effects surrounding COVID.

OP probably has a better argument on healthcare, though. That lady’s diet/lifestyle is all too common these days and has put an enormous strain on the supply of healthcare.

Not the role of government to use tax payer money to feed people.

Charity has a place and this is it.

Yep. If we want to feed people we should do it with cafeteria style access.

No going to the grocery store to buy stuff to take home. If you are hungry, walk your arse to a local soup kitchen and they will feed you.

We have one in Tuscaloosa and Here to Serve is partnering with Kingdom Kitchen in Northport to build another one there.

When HTS is feeding after a disaster our usual food costs are less than $4 a plate. And its not some crappy soup or sandwich like the Red Cross provides. Our meals are things like:

Smoked boston butts, BBQ beans, potato salad or slaw, bread and a pickle
Spaghetti with meat sauce, green beans, garlic bread and a dump cake type of dessert
Hamburger steak with onions and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and a roll.

We have done things like red beans and rice or jambalaya for even less than $4. Stuff with rice goes a long way.
