I don't know if these two are qualified. I would not assume they are not qualified just for being women. The gripe I have is we keep saying women can do what men can and they should not be treated differently but then go out of our way to treat them like they landed on the moon for doing something men have been doing forever. Kind of like going nuts over a woman kicking a football 30 yards. I don't remember the last time anybody was promoted in the military but this has been a pretty big story and the only difference is they are women. If they can do the job, then promote them and move on. I don't understand the need to make such a spectacle of it.

I am unsure if they were the most qualified, or they were promoted because of their gender. If I was one of these ladies, I would be insulted that this political grandstanding calls into question whether or not this promotion was based on merit, or what was between my legs.
Also, Harris is fat. And Biden couldn't recall the position or name of his new defense secretary or where he worked (pentagon).

His point was to diminish people who served our country because they’re women.
And he tried to do that by pointing out that they didn’t qualify for a draft that we haven’t had since they were children.

I took it as pointing out the hypocrisy of the military and this country. "Women are just like men and can do anything men can do", except when it comes to the draft. Or PT scores.

When someone makes a big deal out of a minority doing something it's logical to wonder why they got the job. I wouldn't go so far as to make a declaration about it but it's very logical to question it. Sorry, that's a package deal with affirmative action.

One of them is in the Airforce and is being promoted to manage military transport.
And reason a woman who’s flown military transport plains can’t do that?

I never said she wasn't qualified, but that's not even the right question. The question is whether they're the best for the job. When affirmative action is in play, and it clearly is here, it's logical for people to wonder why they were selected. Maybe it's because they're the best, maybe it's because they have a vagina.
