I thought that was an odd point as well. I recently had a discussion with a fighter pilot about fighter pilots who end up promoted to the upper ranks because they're good pilots. It doesn't mean they're good leaders; sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't.
These women and their SJW defenders can thank their CIC for the shadow he's cast over their selection.

Yeah Air Force Pilots are the truck drivers of the Air Force Hierarchy.
And the point is that she’s mentally AND physically capable of working her way up the hierarchy to this position.

Earl Campbell was a Hell of a running back. That does NOT necessarily mean that he would have been a good head coach (or even assistant coach).
By contrast, some of the very best coaches never even got off the bench at the COLLEGE level, much less the NFL.

Firing missiles from a bird and being on the ground during a firefight is two VERY different forms of combat. I have had birds haul my arse out of tough spots, Some of the pilots have Ice for blood in their veins (for their part of the duty. In combat you want some one who knows how to lead. Simply promoting folks (gender and race) to make the leadership colors all look better is total BS.
Edit: And the CAB compares to the CIB like Skinamax to real pern.
