i've been working remotely for a decade and have never seen anyone in pajamas. this seems like an outrage talking point imo

It was extremely common during COVID.
People only got dressed for Zoom meetings.

There are whole clothing lines dedicated to it.

He can still be a good family man. Having an office job doesn't dictate that.

He now just gets to waste time in the car driving too and from an office to do what he could do at home a month ago.... It's less family time , more time spent dedicated towards work that doesn't come with any financial incentives just more cost in gas and vehicle usage.....

Look, I'm sorry your husband isn't at home as often, but you really need to ask him about those 3 AM gym trips.

I think he's cheating on you.

ah copy
my mistake. i was speaking to zoom/teams/google meet video calls
but i tailor those too. i work in national sales in the outdoor industry, not really coat and tie land, so if it's just my boss or immediate co-workers, i'm t-shirts and hoodies, ball caps. clients? depends. 50/50 collared shirt vs hoodie. bosses boss? company logoed collared shirt
phone calls? i might be full nude. who knows?

Doesn’t DJT work from home? No? From what suburb does he commute to the Oval Office from? Or does he just go downstairs from the residential quarters?

He lives at his office and is always available to work. He’s also held accountable, he’s not some 9-5 40 hour a week employee. Very poor comparison. Sorry you have to return to your job.

Oh well. Guess he and his colleagues should have been more efficient when they had the chance.

I had some engineers working from home. They never knew when they would get a call or Teams notification. Not trying to look over their shoulder but to communicate and keep them on their toes . You check on work progress and hold people accountable. But I still hate it. Brainstorming is much better in person. Teaching and mentoring works much better in person. Time for WFH to end. Maybe a few exceptions but based on realistic issues not BS.

The ignorance of this board astounds me

link?
you seem confused by the "supposed to be working" part
i work 6am-9pm m-f and a few hours most every weekend. i travel 1-2 weeks a month for work so i'm away from friends and family far more than any office drone. just got done with 15 days straight on the road for work
if i want to take 20 minutes to take my kids to school, that's a good thing. if i take an hour to hit the gym, that is too. i guarantee i work harder and longer hours than you. post count is a good indicator of your in office work ethic

Thought this site was all for WFH....

Positive posts about WFH get all kinds of upvotes, while negative posts get all kinds of downvotes... on every board.

Every time I have ever said anything negative about WFH, everyone blasts me...

Guess not anymore.

I'm for WFH, but it's your boss's call.

I'm against whining because you can't WFH.

I'm against people who argue against WFH in the private sector because they think the average government worker is representative of the WFH environment and can't understand how people who work from home can be productive.

Yeah. That's the same scenario that most of us encountered while raising kids and working 60+ hour weeks.
