Venezuela is a Russian satelite state.
Whether or not it’s the intent, This provocation is proving to the Venezuelans that Putin cannot protect them. It also puts a hurt on oil supplies to Cuba, another Russian ally.
Putin is already “stretched” by the Ukraine war and U.S. sanctions. Trump’s targeting Maduro but Putin is also in the picture.
Venezuela is also close to China, Russia and Iran and serves as a foothold for those countries to the America’s. Maybe we can put a stop to that.
Hopefully tho we don’t get sucked into some nation building scheme.

We should set up a fund for Bunk and friends to donate to the families of the fishermen so cruelly exterminated while cruising in their high speed fishing trawlers. In the tradition of generous funds set up by the likes of the Clintons we can guarantee that after administrative costs those families will receive at least 5% of the funds donated.

I suspect this pressure campaign on Venezuela is a larger chess game between the United States and Russia.
If Maduro is indeed ousted, I would advise Zelensky to start packing his bags.
