In the Kansas City area where I live it's currently 76 degrees and we have a forecasted high of 86 today. And we have a fricking excessive heat warming until 8:00 pm. It's so stupid.

INDOCTRINATION!!

Have you noticed the red and other dynamic colors used now to depict storms in the media? Have you noticed weather and climate forecasters are right 16.83% of the time?

I grew up on coast of the Gulf of America.

We only had window units.

This is normal summer.

I would assume you would have low humidity but what is your real feel? Ours is going to hit 106 today where I am.

I played golf yesterday under an extreme heat advisory of 93 deg F with a 103 “feels like”. I didn’t even die! Go figure.

It's the climate alarmists running the weather channels. Joe Lauria is pretty good about not doing that.

I went to grade school in the 60's-70's, from kindergarten through 5th grade never had AC in the school and there were plenty of days in late August through September where temps were in the 90's ......they never canceled school for excessive heat or excessive cold.

Worked for a railroad in the late 70's through the 80's, many days in 100 degrees weather and the heat between the rails would exceed 130 degrees, never shut the gangs down for excessive heat.

Something has happened to Americans, seems we've become pussified.

Those temperatures are in Celsius and it’s ~15 degree delta (example, 82 vs 95). Not extreme but definitely not the same temperatures.

I played a round at 101 deg F just to see what it was like. Two distinct takeaways:
a. A quart of cold water to drink is not gonna be enough.
b. A well hit drive carries 30 yards beyond the longest drive you've ever hit.

I wholeheartedly agree with your post! I also know that 93.7% of all statistics are made up.
