as a Gen X'r, Boomers really need to retire and call it a day. Let my Generation take it from here
Gen x sucks dude - they can't even force the boomers out and are still letting them run the country at 80+ years old
Then they are pretty much letting millennials pass over them in positions of power

I didn't expect a damn thing from my parents, and told my mother so.

Outstanding assessment, AU.
A lot of us Boomers trusted our politicians and Institutions back when. We thought we could just work and play and they’d take care of our Nation. Now we know better. Live and learn.

I am not a boomer. You are a perpetual victim who expects everything to be handed to you.

I am going to sit this one out. Tucker was born in 1969. He isn't too far off from being a boomer. He will never have to know what it is like to live off Social Security.
I don't know any boomers with grandsons zoned out on prescription drugs. To characterize in such a way, would be like me implying that ALL in a certain generation are letting 5 year olds have iphones and apple watches. Raising spoiled brats with no work ethic-never being told no... Wiith wino Karens.
There are lost young men and women right now, who raised them?
What happens if a Gen Xer or Boomer has very stable, successful want for nothing but NOT spoiled- raised with an iron fist, kids? Tucker's kids all went to Ivey league Georgetown type colleges and want for nothing.
Karen's are the problem, why does he call out the generation that busted their butts?
Why did he interview Iran? Why does his TCN suck and never update charging per month?
Why doesn't Tucker speak more about demons attacking him instead of thinking all boomers are Dick Cheney? Why did he turn down Murdoch when he offered Tucker full funding and support to run against Trump?

Exhibit A of idiot assumptions that anyone who criticizes the extremely faulty generation known as the boomers hasnt paid his dues or worked at all.
I expect nothing material but its hard for anyone to argue the boomers didnt prioritize themselves totally at the expense of everyone around them.

I’m blessed my boomer parents were tough on us and somewhat stereotypical 80s turn us loose at times but showed us the correct path. They raised some great Gen X kids and that laid the foundation for 12 grandkids on the right path.. that’s the end of their responsibility.
The boomers wealth is going to be an interesting.. they’ve devalued their kids money by pumping money into the system to explode their wealth while suppressing their kids and future generations with overspending and a complete lack of care for the debt their leaving behind. They essentially bolstered their wealth through government financing and will be dead before the bill is due. We will see an influx of wealth transfer but the bill didn’t get comped..

My boomer dad got home from the corps of engineers to avoid being drafted into the Korean “police action” to find his parents spent every penny he sent home for 3 years. Such an awful boomer he went to work and built his parents a new house (the only one they ever had with actual floors).
He put in 40 years of work for an oil company surviving many sales of the company and transition from 60’s technology to the 90’s. He got rich by keeping his nose down and taking advantage of the matching savings perk getting lucky that the corporation went from public to private and cashing out the stock.
He was smart enough to get an engineering degree so he could work for a single company that long. His goal was to provide a lifetime of the lifestyle Mom wanted. I told him he should bounce the last check they ever wrote and not leave any behind.

In the entirety of the history of the United States, they're the first generation to leave the country in a worst place (for their children) than when they took it over from their parents. That's a fact.
I'll hang up and listen now.

I've got to agree, unless the parents inherited assets themselves
Anyone who inherits anything should pass on at least as much as they inherited (and account for inflation)

My boomer parents have never supported anything they are being accused of. Blaming older generations is just losers making excuses for their loser lives.

It would take a self centered person not to understand that a parent bragging and being focused exclusively on their own passing whims without any sense of wanting to better not just future generations but their own children’s start is exactly what was being made fun of on that podcast.
No one is saying you shouldn’t enjoy your retirement, but the mindset you just outlined is indicative of that generation and won’t be missed at all.
It also explains why every gas station and hotel is now owned by Indian families who work collectively to better themselves generationally rather than being entirely self focused.

Yes, but we are all very differently influenced by various and changing medias and agendas. The generations are absolutely different in nature and outlooks because they've had different inputs and experiences in their formative years.
Yes. People are people. But you can -clearly- see changes throughout the decades in terms of what motivates people, what energizes people... what drives us (or a lack thereof).

Does grandson Dylan live 5 miles down the road and mows Paw-Paw’s grass? Or does he just send them a card once a year and is hoping for an inheritance?
