I will say Joy Reid does hit the nail on the head. We do want all that

The fact that she frames those things as bad is what gets me

Exactly. And the Gulf of Mexico will never be renamed the Gulf of America either.

I came from Appalachia. From my grandfather to my kids, my family will have the ability to be called silver spooners.

That took discipline and giving up immediate gratification like expensive vacations and big houses (messed that up once) and brand new vehicles.

Immediate gratification is a killer. So many are willing to trade red stew for their Birthright to satisfy an “appetite” because the believe they are starving to death.

Sad

This mindset is just another example of generational poverty. When people are raised on government handouts or they're lifelong Democrats, they generally associate a welfare state as a "doing the right thing" or "loving" other people.

Does this dummy not understand that any "marginalized group" could also keep most of their money and also pass it down to their children?! What a goof.

This mindset has slowly trickled into our way of life and is antithetical to the original American Dream.

It is an abomination and I had nothing to inherit. They get away with it because most people will never need to pay a dime for it so they don't care if some rich person gets bilked.

The US government collected @ 35 billion in 2023 from estate taxes. There is no doubt 100% of the money the government collected would have stayed in the US economy if there was no death tax.

The government isn't collecting shite from the likes of Buffet, Gates, etc.

I’d like to ask Joy to provide an example of a fascist nation that is also a representative democratic with a constitution enshrining personal freedoms.

It's truly incredible the damage TDS has done on people like him. It's irreparable, I'm afraid.

When the concept of private property is considered an extreme position, we've blown past our exit and need to turn around quick.

It's unbelievable to me that there are people in this country who are against all those things.

Yes to all of that.

No! You would not want to live in a world with no regulations. Less? Sure, but not none.
No income tax? Depends on what takes its place. I’d prefer a flat income tax.
Family inherits all? I’d hate that. I greatly dislike the undeserving rich. I’d like to come up with a way of confiscating anything above maybe a million dollars per kid. And to be transparent, I’d be affected by this way more than most. It’s still bad.

Someone help me understand how me wanting no income taxes, fewer regulations, and for my children to inherit all my wealth when I die means I also means I also want people to want fewer things?

And how exactly is that fascism? I’ve studied fascism for north of 40 years and none of that equals fascism as far as I can tell.
