They redid Somali IQ test, originally showing an average of 68, because people complained

As you can see from the tweet, people argued that the test showing an average IQ of 68 was unfair because it focused on refugee camps. As a result, the test was redone in 2023, and the new results were recently released.

Back to the discussion some of us had last night: imagine these people becoming citizens and then being selected for a jury, civil or criminal. Can you imagine your future hinging on people with a sub retarded IQ deciding your fate?

Going back to well over 100 years of U.S. military research (essentially back to World War I), the only conclusion one can draw about someone with an 85 or so IQ or lower (roughly 1 in 9 American adults fall into that category) is that they would be essentially useless in any sort of job one can imagine. Even jobs that are essentially labor. In less enlightened times (before the Renaissance) those people would not have survived long into adulthood.
And, this explains much of the third world's challenges that do not get solved with money being thrown at them.
