My understanding is Kamelo Anthony had a good grade point average. Now unless that is incorrect I just hate to see a life with potential wasted. Lord knows the black community is so lacking in positive roll models for young black boys (and girls).
I've stated before one of the men I most admire is Dr. Ben Carson. Dr. Ben Carson is a former pediatric heart surgeon who happens to be black (hint: as amazing as he is......his mother is even more amazing). Think about that. Where will the next pediatric heart surgeon (who happens to be black) come from?
This is America - I want all young men and women, regardless of race, gender and/or economic background to excel. We need them.
According to reports, both of these young men had a promising future. We've lost two young men with potential. But the law is the law - Thou Shalt Not Kill.

I think it was confirmed one of the agitators on Monday was a convicted child molester. Great folks out there.

By definition, this is impossible. Those with a combination of effort and ability will succeed. The lazy and unmotivated will fall by the way side. If everyone excels then no one does.
