Wife and I had plans (I believe she made reservations) to go to Willa Jeans this Saturday. A longtime friend has a son that cooks there. Just called and told them I’ll never set foot in that shithole again (probably went 8-10 times a year). I know it’s not much but if many others do the same hopefully an Army-Navy Surplus store will be standing in its place by Christmas

In general? No, this is an incredibly specific so-called "right," based on a contortionist, activist view of the Constitution.

If you're concerned with "general" rights, then why not have a pro-Constitution bake sale and support things like: other bakers' First Amendment rights; the Second Amendment (you know, that thing that's ACTUALLY in the Constitution); Due Process Rights re: civil forfeiture; etc etc.

i know the answer.

It’s almost hilarious that this is the issue that they want to unite behind.

Lets champion an issue that only half of our customers can get behind, and the other half will hate us for

Hate to say it, but who they are is immaterial to me.
I stopped spending money in Orleans Parish when the statues came down.
I pass through New Orleans with a full tank and an empty bladder.

Not to be confused with Morgan Freeman. Regardless, I have heard of none of these.

I like Bachanal, but it wouldn't hurt me at all to go other places. Turkey & the Wolf has always been overrated and overpriced. Now, if they had Parkway, Juan's Flying Burrito, Liuzza's, and Cuchon Butcher on that list, I might be sweating a little.

The mother who struggles with the decision to abort her baby deserves and receives my prayers.

The people who actively celebrate abortion deserve to be boycotted. And that's the least of their worries come judgment day.

Sounds like you're completely ignorant about the demographics of Orleans Parish.

What percentage do you reckon is really giddy to go out of their way to give money to help fund abortions and to publicly celebrate doing so?

Overwhelming majority of white people oppose abortion, even in uber liberal New Orleans.

The customer bases of Turkey & the Wolf and Bachanal are overwhelmingly white (i've never seen a black person eating at either one despite blacks being the majority in the city).

Do the math.

Willa Jean is a John Besh restaurant.

Wonder if all of his restaurants have this stance. He operates 9 in the area.

I'm fine with most of the residents of New Orleans aborting any potential offspring, it should improve the overall gene pool.

All Liberals should do the same and hopefully their cancer will eventually die out.

Also, New Orleans is a Democratic stronghold. Nothing is really gained or lost by them doing this.

There's nothing gained. But there certainly is something to be lost. NOLA is a Democrat stronghold because it has a large black population...who don't make up much of these restaurants' primary customer base. Sure you have you're ultra liberal hipsters who think this is a great thing. But they were going to come to your restaurant anyway. Instead, you just needlessly potentially turned off a not insignificant part of your actual customer base.

I'm not radically pro-life by any means. But, for the life of me, can't understand making abortion the political hill to die on. There are many pro-choice people who still think the practice is despicable
