The revised trump-backed bill was BAD.

All the same damn pork.

Trump is wrong on this, and we have the right to call him out on it

This isn't even arguable at this point. Someone posted a thread from the Dems raising the debt ceiling just a couple of years ago and it was embarrassing for a couple of folks.

If Nancy wants to raise the debt ceiling that's terrible and rinos are terrible for going along with her, but now it's necessary and you hate America if you disagree. I mean damn, the seal team should just stop pretending that it's about anything beyond Trump. They could at least be intellectually consistent that way and not have to come up with 20 different ways to say "that was different".

agreed.

Trump has only one immediate concern- the handicap on him (not Congress, who can change it at a whim no problem) as a political football. It's his only focus at this time.

I wish he would align with the no voters and talking about spending cuts (or DOGE if he wants) simultaneously. It's a messaging mistake not to do that.

It’s a very fluid situation.

Anti-Big-Spending/Wasteful-Spending Conservative Republicans Vote Against Big-Spending Omnibus Bill.

I miss the days when Republicans considered this a good thing.

Have you forgot your GOPe has voted to increase the debt ceiling every time for the last 30 years?

Can you explain why you and your GOPe suddenly care now?

Mace was on Fox saying the pages are less but the spending was the same. If true I’d have voted no also.

Agree. Also, just shut it down.

But these crooks in Congress will wait til XMas Eve and pass a bill with even more pork. Very few of them have a spine

The entire freedom caucus is on there, which tells me the bill sucked.

Tells me the "PORK" caucus ... has been in Washington "too" long.

The frequent Fox News Blow-Hards were willing to vote for a bill with 1500 pages of pork, but when it was widdled down to 126 pages cutting out their PORK. The "PORK" caucus bolted.

I'm sure each has some "nuanced position" to trumpet as to why they once again sided with Democrats.

That list of people have voted against basically every CR and debt ceiling expansion bill since they have been elected.

They are the ones actually for cutting spending and government.

And God love them for it.

Are we in the upside down world?

So in only a few weeks we've gone from "Trump is going to drain the swamp!!" to "Trump is going to maintain the status quo". Beautiful.

In the past the last minute CR would pass with Rino help, and the fear blame game casualties from the MSM. THEN, they would read it. Then, shout out, like Titanic survivors in the lifeboats, “ Who let this ship sink.”

This is a new age due to social media versus MSM coverage. This can be used to expose the Dems, and Rinos. Tap into the mandate and feed the public with info.
