That’s not the solution.

Federal intervention as Trump was pushing during Y1 is absolutely achievable.
You walk into Chicago/Montgomery/Atlanta and tell the mayor and DA they have two options: 50 Justice department officials will be arriving in the next week. They will either spend the next three months investigating reports of internal corruption and fraud or prosecuting street crime with the full support of local officials and they have five minutes to decide which option they want.

A big reason for this is lack of accountability. You have cops who basically beg for someone to comply when getting arrested. Then once they do get arrested, the DA and judges do the old catch and release.
