Biden's infrastructure bill aims to curb exclusionary zoning, which has led to racial segregation and climate vulnerability for low-income Americans.

Well, unless these "climate vulnerable" victims can afford our HOA dues, i think we'll be just fine. Funny thing about private property....It's PRIVATE!

President Joe Biden wants cities to put more apartment buildings and multifamily units, such as converted garages, in areas traditionally zoned for single-family housing. As part of his $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan, cities would allow for smaller lots and for apartment buildings with fewer than six units to be built next to a traditional house.

Current zoning laws that favor single-family homes – known as exclusionary zoning – have disproportionately hurt low-income Americans. Many of them can't afford to buy a big lot of land, leaving them trapped in crowded neighborhoods earmarked in the past for Black and brown residents, while white families were able to move to single-family areas in the suburbs.

The rent payment on a 2 bedroom apartment is more than my mortgage payment on a 4 bedroom house was in the same zipcode

Apartments are actually pretty expensive

Live outside the city, don’t have that problem.

But it would piss me off if I did.

Middle class neighborhoods will bear the brunt. Most middle class wealth is leveraged in their homes. With devaluation, they'll lose their shirts, and the wealth gap (which dems claim is sooooo important) will predictably widen.

What a great plan.

Running out on a lease is cheaper than doing so on a mortgage, though.

Look for "HOA Fees" are exclusionary, and will no longer be able to hold a lien/cloud a title. Also, look for gubment to pay those fees, or at least whatever they think the fee should be.

This was thoroughly covered by Mark Levin on his show prior to the election. Everyone who knew about this Obama policy knew it was coming. Well, elections have consequences.

Biden isn't a meanie on twatter.

This is recycling an attempt by Obama to put Section 8 housing in expensive suburbs.

Do a lot of democrat voters realize the democrats are quietly trying to get rid of single family housing? I mean who doesn't like single family housing? Living in high density areas is something I'm actively trying to get away from immediately. Way more crime, more poverty, people on top of each other, crowded parks.

How can undoing single family housing be a winning strategy?
