Basically comes down to reasonableness of this and reasonableness of that. What was the threat that a reasonable person would perceive and would a reasonable person believe they were in imminent danger of death or severe bodily harm, was the force used to repel that threat reasonable under the circumstances.

But as you said, all depends on how reasonable the jurors are. Gotta do your best Thomas Jefferson impression and implore them that theirs' is the decision to uphold the right in this the greatest country in the world to protect one's own life, and that the status of this remaining the greatest country in the world rests on their shoulders. Do your duty as a fair minded citizen to demonstrate that we are indeed THE United States of America.

Something along those lines.

How about universal background checks on all of these assholes out protesting?

I bet most of these idiots would get detained if they did a warrant sweep of the crowd.

I believe it's coordinated at local levels, for lack of better term, basically militias. Fewer than not are likely "respectably" organized, and by that I mean something that could go under radar yet remain "effective" for an extended period. But a much larger coordination, especially nationally, I'm solidly unconvinced.
If this wasn't organized nationally, it wouldn't be happeing in 13 cities simultaneously.

No, they have been going strong, but the media doesn’t cover them because they are the media and they are always looking for the next story.

I don't guess I'd really completely discount anything at all in 2020 America, but at the same time I don't see why it wouldn't be possible that certain rather liberal cities and their liberal mayors have essentially put out the invite for the lowest common denominator amongst their respective populations to come out and have a free for all, as the cities' law enforcement establishments will be offering little to no resistance. Plus the favorable coverage by MSM basically lets each of the cities' hooligans know that city A is rioting, which in turn draws out the hooligans in city B, which in turn draws out the hooligans in city C, and so on.

All this really takes is the belief and/or knowledge that like minded thugs are gathering at point a, b and c, take your choice and get out there and break shite and hurt people. I just don't see how that takes much coordination.

Early on in the process, areas were being pre-seeded with things like water and milk to handle tear gas as well as pallets of bricks to throw at cops and buildings.

Some of that can be set up quickly. The deliveries of bricks? Not so much.

But again, that doesn't necessarily require a nationally coordinated/organized effort. I suppose if I were one of the subhuman pieces of shite and I knew there were going to be riots in my city (or town as the case may be) and I wanted to get off on the riots around me achieving the highest level of carnage possible.....it really wouldn't be THAT difficult to get a pallet pf bricks from point A to point B. It's not like none of these people could have the means and capability to do that themselves.

**I just find it difficult to assign this level of idiots that much credit, that they could maintain such a wide ranging coordinated effort.

The only one I'd mourn would be Salt Lake City (not all that long ago a bastion of sanity among big cities), but the rest went to s#!t many moons ago. Let them all burn.

How close is that district to flipping Dem in the election?

Some models have Biden winning it.

Hmm It’s almost like it’s in retaliation for the China consulate getting shut down by Trump.
