Is this what you voted for? Starving people and making able-bodied people have to get jobs??????

Guam and Alaska are the only two areas to add to their welfare roster.

In fairness, we need people in Guam to stay healthy so they can anchor the island and keep it from tipping over.

The fact that ~20% of this state's population "qualified" for food stamps is fricking ridiculous.

I hire recovering addicts from a sober living facility as day laborers from time to time. They are all able-bodied, but every single one of them has an EBT card. The facility instructs them how to obtain a card the first day they arrive there. They also have a phone sales guy who comes around every week and signs up the new people for a free government-paid cell phone.

They also all qualify for and abuse the shite out of medicaid. One guy took an ambulance ride from Lake Charles to Baton Rouge because he didn't have money for a bus ticket or anything. He wasn't sick. Just wanted to go visit family. He then took an ambulance ride back to Lake Charles after the weekend was over.

This story needs to make it's way to the very top.

Amazing how we have propped up folks for so long, it's become a form of entitlement.

And is there even a single example of a truly needy person or family that lost benefits? So much of this was illegal aliens and outright fraud.

You’d think it’d be 33%

Do you think Acadian isn’t in on this too? They get to send a 10k bill to Medicaid for doing nothing

No. That's all I know, and that was straight from the guy's mouth. He did some work for me the week before, and when he came to work on Monday, that is what he told me he did over the weekend.

FWIW, I asked the guy running the facility to not send him back to me. It's one thing to help guys trying to rebuild their lives, but I won't give a scammer a chance to screw me over, and that guy's story proved he was a scamming PoS.

I am not sure how he pulled it off either, because I know there is a nearest facility rule, and the only way to override that is a doctor's note stating it is medically necessary.

I do know they can get non-medical emergency transportation so maybe that is what he used but just called it an ambulance.

Posting just to say the obligatory "this is what I voted for" because it is.

That’s how the sober living facilities obtain food to feed the ppl in treatment facilities, sometimes.

Trump is keeping his promises, but some conservatives will still claim he hasn't done anything while they allow democrats to come back into power.

One of their dumbest arguments is that Trump hasn't done anything on immigration despite him having the best numbers of any president.

Even if we give them that false argument, that still leaves their solution. Because Trump hasn't met their wildly unrealistic expectations on immigration, their solution is to put in power the party that fought Trump on immigration every step of the way.

How does that make sense? Can anyone explain how putting democrats, who let in 20 million illegals in 4 years, in charge is going to give us better results on immigration?

I would smash my head in a door frame a few dozen times to get into the TDS mindset, but I still have work to finish.

I have been on medical calls when they do this. Act sick and get a free ride to the hospital, then walk out the back of the ambulance like nothing happened.

MAHA WIN: Soda sales dropped 12% nationwide after SNAP waivers took effect in 10 states—a decline projected to prevent 34,000 cases of type 2 diabetes and related chronic diseases and save Americans at least $1 billion a year.

A lot better than taxing super sized sodas.

I think that this is a sign that Coca Cola is losing market share rather than the ruling class wanting to save “taxpayer money”

The old Coca Cola overthrew governments in Latin America and now they’re so weak they can barely hold up a pride flag
