If you have so much foreign policy and negotiation experience, perhaps you should hop a plane to DC and tell President Trump and his Administration the "proper" way to do things..

I'd rather Trump talk about it and be informed. Also, Trump is demonstrating that he's putting effort into attempting to negotiate

Asserting that a deal is done then following that up a day later by saying that all out war is imminent, leads to uncertainty. I would like my leaders to provide me with realistic assessments that I can believe with a significant degree of confidence.

Washington — In less than 48 hours this weekend, President Trump went from saying Iran has "agreed to everything," including working with the U.S. to remove its enriched uranium, to warning that if Iran doesn't sign a U.S.-backed deal, the "whole country is getting blown up."

Agreeing to terms verbally is not the same thing as signing off on what was agreed to. That’s not a sign of The White House flip-flopping. It’s a sign that Iran is.

The author even made it clear.

The headline writer and you either simply failed to understand that or you find it more tempting to take the role of an opposition party and promote propaganda.

Trump didn’t write art of the deal.

Tony Swartz did.

and by his people of course you mean anyone with half a brain that sees the current and future strength of the American economy (especially vis a vis other nations) and is taking advantage of panican idiots like you reacting to every 15 minute new message by buying the dips you are creating.

sorry loser, maybe don't make investment decisions with your heart and you won't have to run around lamenting about his people

I'm not "his people" but if you haven't figured out how to play the markets off of Trumps rhetoric then shame on you, you're missing out on a lot of wealth.

I'm MAGA and have been since 2016, but this war in Iran has really exposed Trump for being his age. Either his age is starting to get the better of him, or he's a complete fricking jackass on this and has no business calling the shots during a war. The messaging has been horrendous and combined with him pretending to be Jesus Christ, I've been finding it impossible to defend him much lately.

Nah it’s not just politics that you’re okay with one side committing fraud and self enrichment off the backs of the American people and not okay with the other side doing it. It’s hypocrisy. Full stop

Right--there is no reason to claim victory and that a deal is done prior to an actual deal being done.

Trump can't help himself.

This isn't a boardroom full of suits, and he has no idea how to handle it.

What part of this don't you get? He is trying to combat a liberal lying media who says the economy is going to TANK, they are trying to gin up a bad economy with negative Nancy speak.

So, Trump is thwarting their BS attempts by saying, DEALLLLLL, DEALLLL, DEAL, DEAL DEAL. He doesn't care wat Iran says or does, they can deal or get the hammer, it makes no difference to Trump. And why is Iran doing this against all odds? History since Nam tells them the media will do the enemies work if they just wait around long enough they will have them spitting on our soldiers as when they were in Nam etc. etc. They MISCALCULATED, Trump don't give a DAMN about the Media

Now go ahead and all for the ole Trump is clueless media lie if you wat to, but here is who is clueless, 99.9% of Dems and about 65% of Republicans or RINOS. They are all in it for the grift.

The thread is about the White House messaging and flip flopping. Someone then said yeah, his people get rich off that or something stupid like that doesn't even make sense.

And I joked about actual fraud and that's when you chimed in.

Go ahead and tell me first how messaging and flip flopping creates fraud, and then point me to some instances and how much "his people" made off that.

Is this where I say full stop or something else stupid like that?

You’re misunderstanding what I meant by “getting rich off the flip-flopping.” I’m not saying people magically profit because Trump changes his mind. I’m saying when Trump/White House messaging on Iran shifts back and forth, oil markets move. Prices react to sanctions risk, war risk, and supply risk immediately.

If traders are positioned ahead of those sudden shifts, or have advance knowledge of them, they can make a lot of money on oil futures. Reuters reported the CFTC is probing suspicious oil trades placed shortly before major Trump Iran announcements on March 23 and April 7, with profits reportedly in the millions. How would they have known to trade those 30 minutes before his “Truth” goes out. So the profit comes from trading market-moving policy reversals and messaging, not from “flip-flopping” in the abstract. Hope that clears it up.

What do you care? You'll cry about whatever message they put out, regardless.
