The two NY TImes White House reporters just wrote a tell-all book about the Trump administration. Trump responded by trying to subpoena the reporters phone records. JD Vance wondered if they had hidden recorded devices in meetings. It was basically "Damn! How'd they do that?"
Somtimes the NY Times and Washington Post sources will mislead their reporters, like the GW Bush administration did about WMBDs in Iraq, but to say that "anonymous sources are just made up" is just dopey.

That logic holds some of the time.
The problem with any solid rocket motor is they have a shelf life. The fuel is encased in a plasticiser to slow settling, but it still settles. At some point, they have to be returned to the manufacturer for motor replacement or disposal, depending on the missile. Generally, when we have sold or given them to Ukraine we give ones closest to expiration because they are going to use them in the short term.
So just because we sold them last year (delivery starts later this year) it doesn't mean we had a large extra supply. It may have been our estimated usage didn't take into account the conflict we are in. This is what makes keeping stockpiles correct. Preventing over supply and and having lots expire and preventing not having enough for any given conflict requires a crystal ball. It is a knife-edge predicting usage. This means it is not unusual for use to have to destroy a lot that are expired or get the manufacturers to increase production on short notice.
I do not think we have any truly critical shortages because if we did, there would be rumblings in the OSINT community about suppliers starting up 2nd and 3rd shifts etc. That being said we almost certainly have certain types of interceptors and missiles that are fully in the "yellow" in terms of stockpiles.

This is my understanding. We are outsourcing our weapons production to third world countries. We now have generic brand weapons that are produced by other countries.

Unless the weapons aren't considered first tier anymore. In the evolving battlefield, as we have seen in Ukraine, they may not be as important now.

Because leaking classified data is one thing. But coordinating a disinformation campaign to subvert the interests and efforts of the US government sounds serious.
Is Trump aware that this is going on under his watch? What is he doing about it?

Its why so much military equipment is so much over budget and are delayed by years especially the f22 which is a disaster. Its original cost was 35 million, its final cost 350 million per plane.
