Republicans don't play on the same level as democrats. They don't resort to dirty tactics; for instance, digging for shite in the closet for blackmail purposes.
I can’t imagine the dirt and heinous shite that Thune has done that is being leveraged over him now. We know the majority of these people are all terrible human beings and are in a big swingers club together. They all suck.
But to be this defiant towards what the American public wants and what should already be law to begin with, Thune must have some crazy skeletons.

Why in the flying frick are DST, illegals voting, and whatever the frick else is in here all rolled in one bill?
Give me single issue bills please, and until they prove the can act like adults lets make them single page while we're at it. Standard margins, single spaced, size 12 font, proper English, front only.

Republicans need to nut up and use Graham to try and use sympathy to get more people amped up about getting this shite passed in the Senate.
"In Graham's last moments, he was focused on the save act, and trying to secure our elections. Don't let his efforts go to waste. ".
Graham was a lifelong politician... he would be okay with this type of emotional politics.

Thune is GOPe.
GOPe is controlled opposition.
You can’t function effectively as controlled opposition when the group you’re trying to fool realizes you’re just pretending to be on their side.
He doesn’t want it to pass, but anyone who votes against it will avoid a primary challenge so he has to avoid it coming to a vote so he and anyone else he wants to protect can avoid being on record as opposing it.

Doesn't the Senate have to suspend some rule to make it a simple majority? Getting 60 ain't happening.
If they pass the house version as is they only need 51 votes. Something always conveniently left out when they cry about not having 60

What is “advanced forcing” legislation imply?

Yes, a rule they’ll never change because they’re all so old as frick they don’t want to actually filibuster.

Please, dear God, let the Senate do something useful for a change.
I thought everyone already knew this, but let be the one to help you out.
The SAVE act has no chance of being passed. It’s done it’s over move on. Better luck in 6-12 years when the GOP will have Congress and the WH again.

I’ll allow multiple pages, but single issue only no exceptions, outside of an annual balanced budget appropriations bill.

Why vote on multiple things at once? 1 bill,1 item to vote on, 1 vote, tally the votes, then we take notes on who did what. No more of the stupid thing of saying they voted against/for some bill with 1000 items in it. Disingenuous at best. This is just as tiring as the woman who wanted a refund on her 1/2 eaten watermelon at Wally world.

As much as we don’t like Thune right now, perhaps he knows he doesn’t have the votes. It would be nice for the garbage Senators to be on record as traitors however

This is the way it should be done. Thune is a nut less piece of crap and won't do anything to upset the applecart. He just wants this to go away so they can go on another recess. I wished they had the votes to remove his sorry butt and get someone who will get this passed along with confirmations, and judges appointed.

quote:If they tied the NDAA into this, that is the ‘poison pill’. The house rejected an amendment proposed by Massie and Khanna to remove the intelligence integration part from the bill. You can hate these two as much as you want, but this bullshite will not be walked back if it is ever passed.
And the clock thing is a poison pill
Netanyahu was crowing recently about how Israel needed to scale back the aid from America. bullshite theatre by him. What’s a ‘measly’ $4B when you have access to $1T? Anyone care to give an opinion on how section 622 is a great idea?
