Just do what Reagan did in 1986. When France refused airspace for the US to bomb Libya, which added a couple thousand miles to the route and causing us to lose a fighter jet, one of our missiles went stray and hit the French embassy in Libya. Oops.

Why would we launch any attacks on Iran out of the UK. Thats just dumb. They are playing politics because we wouldnt do that in the first place.

This might actually play a decent role in the discus. The pro Hamas people in london had massive marches. If Hamas/Palestine loses its primary funder, especially at the hands of US/Israel, the foot soldiers in London could get spicy

While I agree with closing some of the bases in Europe, we need Diego Garcia. It is vital for our force projection in the Middle East and Asia. Also, if abandoned, China would occupy it almost immediately, either through treaty or force. The Indian Ocean and the ability to control the Strait of Malacca is how we keep China constrained. I can't think of a single thing more strategically foolish than surrendering Diego Garcia to the Chinese.
