Never thought I'd see it....
--
His diaries make clear that he saw the pandemic less as a historic emergency than a media opportunity
...
Dr. Fauci is the man who ran the pandemic response in America. He was the face of it. When you have been appointed, in effect, to lead a nation through a disaster you owe that nation a full and frequent accounting. To seem to dodge is unbecoming. He has already been given a sweeping presidential pardon by Joe Biden; in the time after and not covered by that pardon, he owes it to the public to speak truthfully.
It would have been good to hear Dr. Fauci, now 85, distill what the entire pandemic experience was and what it did to us as a society, what could have been done to make its management better, what decisions in retrospect made it worse. Looking back, did he or others, in their newfound ascendancy, get carried away? On reflection, is there any justice to the charge they became power-drunk?

It's fashionable in DC for Beltway Insiders to pile on when blood is in the water

Peggy Noonan is soooo brave.

Screw her. They’ve all had the opportunity years ago to call this one. Now the midget is getting exposed, it’s politically convenient for them to run their mouth.

Screw her and skewer Fauci... but this point is correct, an after action report would have been fitting for the size and scope of the event.

She still misses the most important thing: Fauci was one of, if not the highest paid government employees. The so-called expert. He owed the president, the congress and the people the complete truth, without regard to politics. Yet he lied about damn near everything and did great damage to the country.

Peggy Noonan is a liberal twat. She is an awful manhattenite.

I’m cannot put into words the damage the federal government did to the citizens of the this county with Anthony Fauchi as the tip of the spear. We will never fully realize the extent.

The media are the enemy of the people.

Peggy wrote one good line in a speech about the space shuttle disaster and hasn’t done a fricking thing since.
Kiss my surly bands of earth.

It's much more sinister than you assume.

Re his pardon, it goes back to 2014. Covid didn't appear till 2020. What did he "do" in the years from 2014-2019 that he needed a pardon?

Peggy did not write, she copied....

Put yourself in his shoes. Everybody knows Trump would love to nail his arse. Everything he says would be scrutinized for a basis to prosecute him for lying to Congress. Fairly or not.

In 2014 DARPA gave Moderna a contract to develop a vaccine against covid viruses.

1) The fact that Fauci had met with Obama regarding Covid tells us everything we need to know. There was absolutely no legitimate reason why Fauci should've met with Obama over Covid.
2) I used to like Peggy Noonan, but somewhere along the way she changed. Interesting to see her going against the corrupt system in this matter. Heaven knows the bought-and-paid-for corporate media has bent over backwards to throw Fauci a lifeline regarding his pathetic performance on Wednesday.
