The struggle is not against flesh and blood - Ephesians 6:11-17

We cannot win the earthly battle.
It's already been decided that we lose that.
What's important is to keep your faith even though the dial gets turned up to 11.
If the test ever comes, just don't deny Christ.

I am not a religious or Christian by any means. I opened this thread thinking that this was going to be another thread in preaching and Bible verses and how Christian beliefs and morals are superior to everything else.

Surprisingly, it wasn't and instead of downvoting, I upvoted.

This is the message that believers need to be putting out there, not that holier than thought crap.

I, as a long time Christian, disagree.

We live in this world at this time. We should learn what we can about current events and get involved to the point of trying to improve the world around us. We have lives to live and would like for them to be in nice conditions. We want good futures for our children and we want good circumstances for the whole of mankind.

We need to know about the bad news and chaos in order to do something about it.

"the lie", "the truth". So what is the lie? What is the truth? How can one understand the world around them, what "the lie" is and what "the truth" is without knowing the "bad news"?

I could go on but the user name "DrDolemite" harkens back to something in my past that leads me to think bad thoughts. Only 13 posts and posting something this deep just doesn't set right with me.

I find out where their money goes before contributing to any church.

Most have budgets. You can see what they do with their income.

I suspect El is referring to one big church. I am familiar with what they do with their money both locally and world wide.

No church is going to spend 100% of their money where you or I as individuals will like it.

In order to criticize churches a person must be more specific. There are differences. That's why there are different christian churches.
