Its just soooooooooo weird that blue state voters, whose states went for Joe Biden and whose states embrace shite like mail-in voting, say that they voted by mail.

In the primaries, yes

For the general, the opposite. This has been the goal

What is there to think through? If the Dems cheated in 2020 they will cheat in 2024 it makes no difference. This thread is a pointless thought exercise

That isn't the strategy.

The strategy is to bring all these indictments and then invoke the 14th Amendment

Turnout is everything, and Donald Trump is the biggest turnout machine in the history of the Democratic Party.

There have also been a lot of single issue Dem voters driven to the polls by activity on their single issue lately.

Those issues are either settled, or backfired. Add that Dems are just not enthusiastic about Biden and their policies, and mail in voting has been dialed back to a degree, and I think you’ll see Dem turnout way down.

I'll happily take that bet. Turnout will not be lower in 2024 than it was in 2020, if Donald Trump is on the ballot.

the strategy is actually brilliant. it pumps trump up for the primary, but sinks him for the general. idiots on the right seem to be falling for it.

What's next for the Democrats? If they go to trial with Trump and can't convict him on serious crimes, isn't that just going to make him even stronger? Did the Democrats really think this thing through?

Yes, they thought this out. The indictments are to make him stronger because independents and suburban white women hate Trump. They want him to win the nomination. Us ronbots have been saying it since the first indictment.

We all know the indictments are political BS and are a witch hunt but while they make him stronger in the primary they hurt him in the general.

Not sure why you are getting rustled. I'm just showing you the data in direct response to your claim that Trump is a "turnout machine" for democrats. Democrats are just as fricking lazy and apathetic as they've ever been. The difference wasnt Trump. It was the army of democrat canvassers that suddenly showed up at their door in 2020.

Who is rustled? I'm pointing out how dumb your attempted point was.

Right. And all you did was show that I am correct. Donald Trump is a massive turnout driver for Democrats. Mail-in votes are votes until relevant courts say otherwise.

List the states that allowed mail-in voting in 2020 that are not allowing it in 2024.

Turnout will be lower but the ballots will miraculously appear nonetheless.

No. Mail in votes are a massive turn out driver for democrats. You don't actually believe Trump loses without mail ins? LOL

But he's too obnoxious and self-obsessed to understand the importance of staying on message.

He stayed on message in 2016. The wall was his biggest talking point. More importantly, he focused on doing what he said he would do when he became President. He didn't accomplish e erything, because that's impossible, but he didn't get distracted by a war in Ukraine, Covid-19 mandates, and making sure he got L, G, B, T, and Q people working in his administration. None of which he ran on...

Dude, this is the objective of their strategy. The Dems want him to be the nominee. They are praying for it.

I think it's pretty obvious that Dems have crossed the Rubicon. They aren't going to stop. They are willing to do whatever it takes to keep Trump from being elected.

This should’ve been clear when the Dems attempted a coup under the Russian collusion charade.

It’s shocking that Democrat voters are fine with this banana republic bullshite until you realize the Dems control all the media and academia.

it'll be interesting for several reasons.

Brandon has an atrocious record and is riddled with scandal. His policies are hammering the everyman. This contrast didnt exist in 2020. He was sold as a continuation of Obama.
The republicans will harvest. whether they get it right or not is yet to be seen, but that will erode some of the dem drop box ballots for the same cycle.
If the GOP field stands by the pledge and unifies around the candidate, there should be a crystallization of support that we arent seeing just yet.

And has completely tossed that effective strategy aside in the 7 years since 2016.

Donald Trump hasn't talked about substantive policy in months, maybe even years. And you think he's capable of staying on message for a whole campaign cycle?

The only thing Donald Trump cares about is himself and the 2020 election. Neither of those things are winning issues nationally.

Would be perfectly ripe for a Republican candidate who could exploit those weaknesses. Not so much for a GOP candidate who only talks about himself and the 2020 election.
