Charles Murray wrote a good book called “Coming Apart” where he pointed out that elites still stay married and have children with the people they are married too but at the same time refuse to judge how other people live, which is why both America’s inner cities and rural communities are so disgusting and degenerate.

Kids fare better in stable environments with a supportive parental figure(s). It’s not a given that children in 2 parent households have this and researchers aren’t studying it because there’s no way to really quantify it.

I did a lot of research on this recently and you are just wrong. 2 parent families objectively do better in almost every measurable metric. Just having an extra parent likely means 2 incomes in today’s US. The extra money definitely causes less stress on children. Also single parent families with men(dad) do better than those with just a woman(mom).

So like most everything else it’s the socioeconomic aspect that makes a difference.

Because studies also show that children from same sex households also fare better than single parent household kids.

That’s not how it works. It’s 50/50 across all ages, races, socioeconomic status, education levels etc.

You are posting on a college based political board, I will assume you are an educated middle class man.

Divorce rates among those with bachelor degrees is 25 percent.

Who could have predicted that destroying a family structure that evolved and worked for thousands of years and led to great success beyond mere survival would have negative consequences?

By 2016, those figures had absolutely skyrocketed to 36% in the white community and 73% in the black community.

It's too often a feral child factory. Boys in particular need a real father.

Married over 40 years to the same woman. Out kicked my coverage pretty badly too, so I know that which I speak.

But I chose wisely.

Didn’t screw everything in sight
Had a plan for the career she wanted
Could have a conversation on many topics

You can thank the democrat president LBJ and his war on poverty for destroying the black community and two parent families. The govt replaced the black man as the dad/husband in the family.

If only there were some Book; a Book full of time tested, sound principles for living a happy and meaningful life. If only there was a recent example of what a society could be- if it had such a Book, and allowed it to govern their lives. If only. Sigh.

I will never understand the lack of caring about how many women you impregnate. I was fricking terrified of getting a girl pregnant in HS

How many bullets did we collectively dodge??

Lord, I really had some good fortune on my side back then, for which I am quite thankful.

When your career aspirations are limited to pro basketball player or rapper there’s a problem.

How can people stand there with a straight face and say that these figures have little to no effect on the culture of our population?

I will be your father figure. I will be your preacher teacher.

Till the end of time.
